Full Job Description

Position Description

The Electrical Assembler- 2nd Shift is responsible for wiring and installing electrical components used in custom electrical equipment. This role works from drawings, wiring diagrams, and bills of material (BOMs) to ensure equipment is wired safely, neatly, and accurately to SPS quality standards.

Hours: 4:00pm-2:30am Monday- Thursday

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Install electrical components according to assembly drawings.
Wire electrical control panels using drawings and wiring diagrams.
Verify parts and components against BOMs for accuracy.
Route and organize wiring neatly and accurately.
Identify and report material, design, or quality issues.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Support continuous improvement and other production needs as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills Abilities

Required

Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality.
Ability to safely and effectively use hand tools.
Basic math, measurement, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to follow drawings, instructions, and established processes.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Flexibility to work occasional overtime as needed.

Preferred

Previous electrical wiring, assembly, or manufacturing experience.
Experience reading electrical drawings, schematics, or wiring diagrams.
Experience wiring control panels or electrical equipment.
Familiarity with electrical components and bills of material.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; talk and hear. The employee regularly is required to walk and reach with hands. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Employee occasionally uses computer keyboards. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Employee views computer monitor occasionally.
