Full Job Description

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, proficiency in CNC programming and machine operation, and experience interpreting technical drawings and blueprints. As a CNC Operator, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining various CNC machinery to ensure precision manufacturing of high-quality components.

Responsibilities

Set up CNC machines including CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and other industrial equipment, ensuring proper calibration and tooling.
Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and production documents to accurately produce parts within specified tolerances.
Program CNC machines using CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software and adjust parameters for optimal performance.
Operate auxiliary equipment such as press brake machines, stamping presses, and flexo presses as needed for fabrication processes.
Conduct precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, and other measuring instruments to verify dimensional accuracy.
Troubleshoot machine issues promptly to minimize downtime while adhering to safety standards in production environments.
Maintain detailed records of production activities, machine settings, and quality control checks.
Follow safety protocols rigorously to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.

Qualifications

Proven experience operating CNC machinery including CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, or similar equipment within a manufacturing or factory setting.
Strong understanding of mechanical blueprint reading and interpreting GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
Proficiency in CNC programming using CAM software; familiarity with Fanuc controls is highly desirable.
Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), tooling setup, and industrial troubleshooting techniques.
Ability to read shop math accurately for measurements and calculations related to fabrication processes.
Experience with shop tools such as calipers, micrometers, hand tools, and basic math skills necessary for quality control.
Familiarity with safety standards in manufacturing environments including proper handling of materials and equipment.
Prior experience working with fabrication materials and assembly lines is advantageous.
