Full Job Description

Position Title: Development Coordinator

The Development Coordinator plays a crucial role in supporting project financial management within a dynamic real estate development environment. This position involves a blend of coordination and analytical responsibilities, ensuring effective management of construction draws, invoices, and project budgets. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced setting, where attention to detail and strong organizational skills are essential. Salary Range: $80,000 - $110,000 / Year DOE

Development Coordinator Responsibilities:

Assist with construction draw management and lender draws
Review invoices and ensure proper coding for draw submissions
Coordinate with in-house accounting team on project-related financial activity
Support project financial tracking and reporting
Assist with underwriting new development opportunities and project financing
Track vendor contracts, billings, and budgets
Monitor insurance certificates for contractors/subcontractors
Track key deadlines, deliverables, and compliance items
Help with project close-out and warranty documentation
Enter and update project budgets in Yardi
Track changes, change orders, and committed costs
Review budgets with project and construction teams
Review vendor invoices against contracts
Process invoices and overhead costs in Yardi
Track payments and required backup documentation
Help prepare monthly lender draw requests
Collect lien waivers and required documents
Coordinate with accounting, lenders, and project teams
Review job cost reports for errors or overruns
Support lender and investor reporting
Help with permitting, inspections, and scheduling
Provide general admin support to the development team

Development Coordinator Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
1-5 years in construction, real estate, or project accounting
Experience in real estate development, construction, project accounting, or development finance
Familiarity with lender draws, construction draws, invoice review, and project budgeting
Experience with budgets, invoices, or job costing is preferred
Yardi experience is a plus
Understanding of underwriting is a plus
