Under the direction of the registered nurse, the Surgical Technician functions as the scrub person during surgical intervention and technical assistant during GI/pulmonary endoscopy procedures. The Surgery Tech manages the sterile field and/or other technical instrumentation and equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS
· At least one (1) year of experience as a surgical technician in an acute care hospital or outpatient surgical facility preferred.
· Successful completion of a surgical tech program preferred.
· Current BLS certification (or obtain within one month of hire).
· Ability to read, write, and verbally communicate in English.
· Must be willing to share on-call and after-hours assignments.
Wages are based on prior related experience.
