POSITION PURPOSE:
Assists in all activities of production control including preparing documentation, data entry, production database maintenance, manufacturing order creation and maintenance, and labor record keeping.
ORGANIZATION FIT
This position reports to the Production Control Supervisor as well as the Systems & Production-Control Manager. This position may also interact with the accounting, finishing, cutting, fabrication, materials, shipping, and engineering departments.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
DATABASE MAINTENANCE

Creates and maintains a series of Excel databases, such as but not limited to, Runtime Metrics, KPIs, Fuel Bag Metrics, R&D Testing, and Thrust board Flap measurements. Updates the Fuel Bag ERX database.

Scans Manufacturing Orders, pressure tests and maintains a photo library of production information.

Filing
- Responsible for document control processes, from both internal and external sources.
GENERAL ADMINISTRATION

Responsible for reviewing the shop labor by day/Confirming people are clocked in to correct work orders.

Generates boat tags, MSOs, COCs, and Berry Amendment documentation for contract boats.

Acts as backup to the other Production Control team members as required.

Support continuous improvement initiatives within production control processes.

Acts as backup to the company-wide switchboard when necessary

The position works in an office environment as well as a safety-conscious production environment.

Must be able to use hands and fingers to process paperwork on a daily basis.

Frequent sitting, using hands, reaching, and occasionally lifting up to 25 lbs.

Occasionally exposed to fumes and airborne particles. Noise level is moderate.
EDUCATION & WORK EXPERIENCE
Required
-
High school graduate or equivalent
-
1+ years with various forms of office work and documentation organization
-
Proficient with computers and administrative processes with the ability to learn new systems quickly.

Possess strong work ethics; reliable and dependable.

Excellent observation skills with superior attention to detail and a demand for accuracy in a deadline driven environment.

Strong retention skills: ability to recall data and understand what the data represents

Strong interpersonal and team skills; proven ability to interact with all levels of the organization.

Punctual and regular attendance; willingness to work pre-approved OT if needed; schedules off time in advance whenever possible.
Desired

Previous related experience in Document Control activities in an office/production setting.

Attendance or completion at a technical school, junior college or university
