Full Job Description

High Point University is currently seeking a full-time Data Processing and Quality Analyst with in the Workman School of Dental Medicine.This role is responsible for supporting the integrity, consistency, and operational reliability of data used across institutional analytics systems. The position focuses on executing data validation processes, maintaining data workflows, and ensuring accurate reporting across platforms such as Excel and Power BI.

This position is well-suited for an early-career professional interested in developing skills in educational data operations, reporting systems, and learning analytics within a collaborative higher education environment.

Working under the direction of the Director of Design and Process Enhancement, this role applies established data standards, supports survey deployment and evaluation systems implementation, and contributes to ongoing improvements in data quality and reporting processes.

R EQ U I RED QUAL I F I CAT I ONS:

1–3 years of exper i ence i n data clean i n g, data val i dat i on, data operat i ons, or database management ( i n ternsh i ps or relevant project work cons i dered) .

Strong prof i c i ency i n M i crosoft Excel (e.g., data clean i n g, formulas, p i vot tables, data organ i zat i on) .

Exposure to or i n terest i n learn i n g data v i sual i zat i on tools such as Power B I or Tableau.

Demonstrated ab i l i ty to i dent i fy data i n cons i stenc i e s, troubleshoot errors, and ensure data accuracy across systems .

Strong organ i zat i onal sk i lls w i th the ab i l i ty to document processes and ma i n ta i n clear records .

Demonstrated a b i l i ty to follow establ i shed data workflows and standards w i th a h i gh level of attent i on to deta i l .

PR E FERRED QUAL I F I CAT I ONS:

Bachelor’s degree i n bus i n ess, i n format i on systems, stat i st i cs, or a related f i eld .

Exper i ence work i n g w i th data v i sual i zat i on tools (e.g., Power B I , Tableau) or w i ll i n gness to learn .

Exper i ence support i n g survey development or work i n g w i th tools such as Qualtr i cs or s i m i lar platforms .

Exposure to educat i onal assessment, student performance data, or learn i n g analyt i cs env i ronments .

Exper i ence work i n g i n h i gher educat i on or healthcare-related sett i n gs

Fam i l i ar i ty w i th academ i c or adm i n i strat i ve systems (e.g., LMS platforms l i ke Blackboard, ExamSoft , or s i m i lar tools) .

Exper i ence document i n g workflows, data processes, or standard operat i n g procedures .

I n terest i n i mprov i n g data qual i ty, systems eff i c i ency, and operat i onal workflows .

Exper i ence i n or w i ll i n gness to learn data analys i s and v i sual i zat i on w i th prof i c i ency i n tools such as Power B I , SQL, R, and/or Python .

Pr i or exper i ence i n h i gher educat i on, espec i ally i n dental or other healthcare profess i onal programs .

Fam i l i ar i ty w i th academ i c tools, such as ExamSoft , TrackCC , Blackboard, etc.

Exper i ence work i n g w i th educat i onal data i s strongly preferred .

ESSENT I AL FUNCT I ONS :
Data Quali ty & Val i dat i on :

Operate and ma i n ta i n assessment platforms (e.g., PowerB I , Dashboards, ExamSoft , Excel, LMS data, survey tools , EP I C ) for long i tud i n al track i n g of student performance and curr i cular effect i veness.

Execute rout i n e data val i dat i on, clean i n g, and qual i ty assurance processes across mult i ple data sources (e.g., Qualtr i cs, ExamSoft , LMS, Excel) .

I dent i fy , troubleshoot, and resolve data i n cons i stenc i es, m i ss i n g data, and structural i ssues .

Apply establ i shed data standards, nam i n g convent i ons, and formatt i n g rules to ensure cons i stency across systems .

Support recurr i n g data workflows and report i n g processes.

Data Management & Systems Support :

Support the ma i n tenance of dashboards and report i n g systems (e.g., Power B I , Excel-based reports) used for academ i c and operat i onal dec i s i on-mak i n g .

Prepare, organ i ze, and transform datasets for report i n g and analys i s .

Ass i st i n ma i n ta i n i n g data structures that support long i tud i n al track i n g of learner performance .

Document data processes, workflows, and system updates to ensure cont i n u i ty and transparency .

Report i n g & Analyt i cs Support :

Generate rout i n e and ad hoc reports to support faculty, comm i ttees, and leadersh i p .

Ass i st i n i dent i fy i n g trends, patterns, and data gaps to support dec i s i on-mak i n g .

Support the preparat i on of recurr i n g reports (e.g., course/module performance, EPA evaluat i ons, attendance track i n g) .

Survey & Evaluat i on Support :

Bu i ld and ma i n ta i n surveys and evaluat i on tools us i n g platforms such as Qualtr i cs or s i m i lar systems .

Ensure cons i stency and accuracy i n data collect i on i n struments across report i n g cycles .

Support the i mplementat i on and track i n g of feedback and evaluat i on processes .

Handle data ed i ts and user r eq u ests for changes (ed i ts/removal) of data.

Work w i th users about data changes and updates.

Accred i tat i on & Cont i n uous Qual i ty I mprovement Support :

Support data preparat i on and documentat i on for accred i tat i on and report i n g r eq u i rements .

Ma i n ta i n organ i zed data repos i tor i es and report i n g outputs used for compl i ance and rev i ew processes .

Ass i st i n cont i n uous qual i ty i mprovement efforts by ensur i n g rel i able data i s ava i lable for evaluat i on and dec i s i on-mak i n g .

Collaborat i on & Commun i cat i on :

Collaborate w i th i n ternal and external stakeholders to ensure data needs are met and report i n g outputs are usable and clear .

Prov i de bas i c gu i dance to faculty and staff on access i n g and i n terpret i n g standard reports and dashboards .

Commun i cate data i ssues or i n cons i stenc i es clearly and i n a t i mely manner .
