Insurance Sales Agent – Associate Program Kent Anderson Group | COUNTRY Financial Charleston / Mattoon, Illinois | Hybrid | Full-Time Total Compensation: $40,000–$60,000 (base + commission and bonus)

Most insurance sales jobs fall into one of two buckets: they hand you a phone and a cold list, or they throw you straight into commission-only with little support. This is neither.The Kent Anderson Group is a local COUNTRY Financial agency with offices in Mattoon and Charleston, Illinois. We're adding an Associate Agent to our team, someone who wants to build a real career in insurance and financial services, develop lasting relationships in the community, and grow toward eventually running their own agency.This is a field sales and relationship-building role. We don't need you in the office every day. We need you out selling. Whether you're based in Charleston, Mattoon, or anywhere in the surrounding area, what matters is that you're active in the community and consistently creating new opportunities. For the right person, COUNTRY Financial's Associate Agent program offers a clear path toward agency ownership. We're serious about developing the people on our team.

Responsibilities

Prospect for new clients through community outreach, business walk-ins, local events, and referral development
Build and maintain referral relationships with realtors, lenders, car dealers, farmers, and local business owners
Meet with prospective and existing clients to assess needs and recommend home, auto, life, farm, and business insurance coverage
Create and manage a consistent pipeline of quote opportunities, follow-ups, and referral contacts
Represent the agency at community events and local activities throughout the Coles County area
Maintain organized records of all prospects, quotes, and client interactions in our agency system
Work with the agent team to set production goals and track progress
Learn the insurance and financial services business from inside a working COUNTRY Financial agency

Requirements

Sales experience required: outside sales, field sales, car sales, real estate, banking, retail, or any role where you had to go earn the business
Self-motivated with the ability to manage your own schedule and activity independently
Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust quickly
Comfortable prospecting, asking for referrals, and following up consistently
Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage a pipeline
Property & Casualty and Life & Health licenses required (we will support the right candidate through the licensing process if not yet licensed)
Must be based in or willing to actively work the Coles County and Central Illinois market

Compensation and Benefits

Total compensation: $40,000–$60,000 (base + commission and bonus opportunity)
