Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Cost Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for analyzing and managing the company’s cost data, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting strategic decision-making. Your expertise will help optimize cost control processes, improve financial efficiency, and contribute to the overall profitability of our organization. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where your analytical skills and financial acumen will make a tangible impact.

Duties

Prepare and analyze cost reports to monitor expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities
Collaborate with production and procurement teams to gather relevant cost data
Maintain accurate records of inventory costs, manufacturing expenses, and overhead allocations
Utilize financial software to input, update, and reconcile cost information regularly
Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes by providing detailed cost insights
Conduct variance analysis to compare actual costs against budgets and forecasts
Support internal audits by providing detailed documentation of cost-related transactions

Experience

Proven experience as a Cost Accountant or similar role within a manufacturing or production environment
Strong proficiency in financial software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data
Knowledge of accounting principles, cost allocation methods, and inventory management
Ability to work collaboratively across departments to gather necessary information
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines
