Full Job Description

Temporary Job - initially for 12 months - Administrative shift

This is a position for a Senior Quality Assurance Scientist, this position will not be supervising

Position: Manager, Quality Assurance Scientist (will not be supervising)
Hybrid/OnSite: 100% On SIte

PRINCIPAL OBJECTIVE OF POSITION
Oversee operations occurring at the Shop Floor Level from the Quality Assurance standpoint, providing direction/guidance/ inputs for GMP decisions, while lots are manufactured. This includes oversight to processes which are not linked directly to a lot (e.g., Warehouse, Quality Control Laboratories). The role entails frequent risk-based judgements, decision making, forming partnerships with operations, while remaining independent.
Personnel in this role also conducts QA Batch Record Review prior to submitting to the Product Disposition group.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Ensures compliance of all procedures (SOP’s) to avoid potential regulatory and compliance issues; including GDP and electronic systems compliance.
2. Provides guidance on gaps identified from the review and actively participates to determine potential remediation activities.
3. Evaluates documentation compliance, including data GDP compliance and electronic system data compliance, and its overall management requirements for all manufacturing and support areas, including QC laboratories, such as CR’s, SOP’s, BR’s, Forms, Logbooks, BOM’s, WPP’s, qualification and validation Protocols, according with government regulations and Client Policies.
4. Develops sampling plans based on acceptance quality level criteria when additional or special testing is
required.

DECISION MAKING:

Incumbent has to take actions as deemed necessary and/or to communicate management in a prompt manner. Inappropriate decision or action regarding a situation may result in a business and quality impact.
Sense of urgency and analytical thinking are critical competencies required for this position.
Incumbent has to meet with the necessary areas to assure prompt solution of quality issues.
The incumbent will be capable to work with minimum supervision.

EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree in Science (e.g., Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology, Pharmacy), or Engineering with six (6) years of experience in a role exercising GMP responsibilities in a pharmaceutical industry. 3-5 years of practical experience in Quality Systems (eg, Investigations, CAPA, Change Control) in a GMP manufacturing environment.

KNOWLEDGE / SKILL:

Knowledge of manufacturing operations of Oral Solid Dosage and Parenteral Products Manufacturing
Fully bilingual (Spanish/English) communication skills, both written and verbal.
Willing to work irregular hours, rotative shifts, weekends and holidays when needed
Self-motivated, creative and team work oriented
