Full Job Description

POSITION: Case Specialist

CLASSIFICATION: Part-time or Full-time depending on caseload

$21.00-28.00 hourly DOE with additional compensation

Voyager has open full and part-time positions throughout Arizona, this posting is to address the need in Yavapai County.

SPECIFIC DUTIES:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Must be 21 years or older. This position is responsible for providing transportation for children to and from supervised visits as well as supervising the visit itself.

Specialist is responsible for documentation of supervised visit and interactions between the parents and the children. Families are referred by the Department of Child Safety (DCS) and require weekly visitation. Visit facilitators must be available to provide services mostly during late afternoons/evenings and weekends to accommodate the needs of the families and must be accessible by telephone twenty-four (24) hours per day, seven (7) days per week for emergencies. This position reports to the Case Specialist Supervisor.

TRANSPORTATION: Candidates must have a reliable and fully functioning vehicle. The vehicle must be smoke-free. Employees must show continuous proof of insurance and current vehicle registration as well as their 5-year MVD record.

SPECIFIC SKILLS REQUIRED:

~Ability to facilitate communication and negotiation skills.

~Understanding of boundary dynamics.

~Willingness to learn Family Centered Practice; documentation practices,

~Family dynamics; shared parenting; and treatment philosophies of family-based

Services

~Ability to relate to relate well with families of varied lifestyles, backgrounds, and ethnicities.

~Good verbal and written ability to document a supervised visit.

~Good verbal and written communication including grammatical skills to write clear and concise visit summaries.

~Ability to work independently and as a team member in a team environment.

~ABSOLUTLEY NO at-fault accidents, DUI's, and no more than 1 moving violation within the last 5 years.

~Obtain a contracted case aide certificate (training provided).

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

~High school diploma or higher degree.

~Must have at least one year experience in Human Services reflected on your resume.

~First aid/ CPR

~Level one fingerprint clearance card

~Car seat and other necessary training will be available
