Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Human Resources Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping our company culture and ensuring that our HR practices align with our organizational goals. This position requires a strategic thinker with strong interpersonal skills, capable of managing various HR functions while fostering a positive work environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES FOR POSITION:
- Create job posting and conduct interviews with potential candidates.
- Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the overall business goals
- Manage the recruitment process, including job postings, interviewing, and onboarding new employees
- Oversee employee orientation programs to ensure a smooth transition for new hires
- Implement performance management systems to enhance employee productivity and engagement
- Create pay scale matrixes
- Lead awards and recognitions for teammembers
- Organize company holiday parties
- Create training matrixes
- Create advancement training opportunities
- Audit employee's productivity and performance
- Supervise HR staff and provide guidance on best practices in human capital management
- Manage employee relations issues and resolve conflicts effectively
- Develop training programs to support employee development and career progression
- Collaborate with management on budgeting for HR initiatives and workforce planning
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations while maintaining company policies
- Provide initial investigation and preparation for issues including, but not limited to, wage and hour claims, EEOC claims, Civil Rights claims, etc.
- Training and create training modules
- Receive and investigate employee complaints/issues and respond in an appropriate and timely manner
- Responsible for company driving policy, onboarding, insurance, training, and documentation
- Responsible for onboarding documentation and training
- Document job requirements and processes
- Create H/R documents in accordance with current regulations
- Create career path development for employees
- Lead OSHA workplace safety monitoring and training
- Process payroll
- Process new hire paperwork
- Create monthly award and recognition program
- Process time cards and update information as needed
- Process medical, dental, and vision benefits
- Process 401k benefits
- Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal laws
- Maintain time off records, attendance records, and FMLA
- Act as liaison between employee and management to answer questions or concerns regarding company policies, procedures and regulations
- Works with leadership in developing and implementing policies and procedures for the field
- Handle management counseling on all employment actions and policy interpretation
- Actively assist with the overall coordination of the recruiting activities for their respective divisions
- Maintain compliance with federal and state reporting
- Track attendance and disciplinary action documentation
- Ensures that yearly reports are generated timely and completely
- Communicate goals to appropriate plan managers and identify areas of opportunity
- Manage all facets of unemployment compensation claims, work place injury claims, and other claims including initial claim responses and requests for documentation
- Provide advance notification to applicable witnesses and provide follow up
- Identify areas of opportunity to improve overall performance
- Process new hire documentation, status change, and termination documentation
- Process 401k onboarding and termination
- Process medical, dental, and vision documentation onboarding and termination
- Manage team and individual performance metrics
- Spearhead software tracking program for performance tracking in ERP
- Provide both data and potential strategies for improving key areas such as associate and management turnover
- Reviews policies and procedures and makes recommendations for updates where needed
- Update and maintain HR manual
- Monitor HR manual compliance and maintain records
- Obtain quotes for various benefit programs
- Document all processes releating to this position
- Monitor schedules and goals in various departments
- Maintain overtime approvals
- Additional duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or related field
· Human Resources certification preferred (SPHR/PHR or SHRMSCP/SHRMCP)
· 10 years minimum progressive human resources experience required
· 5 years minimum in a leadership role
· Knowledge of government regulations related to employment such as FLSA, EEOC, ADA, FMLA, etc. required
· Manufacturing experience preferred
· Proficiency in HR software
· Conflict resolution and counseling principles
· Principles and practices of modern organization development
· Methods and techniques of managing projects
· High degree of proficiency MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications
· Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills
· Strong verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning)
· Federal and state statutes, rules and regulations, agency policies and rules and regulations as they apply to the HR functions of the assigned unit.
· Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as, internal and external clients
· Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
· Ability to work with and influence peers and senior management
· Logistics, warehousing, or manufacturing industry experience desired
· Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting
· Must be able to do other duties as assigned
· Must be a US citizen or legal status approved with ITAR
Work Environment: (*) The work environment for this job is in an office and can require you to go into the manufacturing shop floor, which is heated and air conditioned. The noise level is usually high due to industrial machines. This position requires frequent walking, frequent standing, frequent lifting, frequent typing, frequent use of a computer screen, as well as sitting at a desk.
Physical Demands: (*) The position requires that the employee is regularly required to stand, move, talk, see, and hear. The employee is regularly required to life, stand; walk; reach with hands and arms. Must be able to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close, distance, and color vision. Specific physical abilities include abilities to move items in all directions with body, hands, and fingers.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
