Full Job Description

Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Corrections | Day Shift | 36 Hours Guaranteed | Florence, AZ

Location: Florence, Arizona
Start Date: August 24, 2026
Assignment Length: 8 Weeks (Extension Possible)
Hours: 36 Hours Guaranteed (Typically 3 x 12-hour shifts/week)
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Schedule: Determined by facility needs; flexibility required
Pay: $2133.33 ( including tax free stipends of $1246/wk

Join Our Team

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our correctional healthcare team in Florence, Arizona. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced RNs looking to expand their clinical expertise while providing high-quality patient care in a secure healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in a correctional healthcare setting.
Perform patient assessments and develop appropriate nursing interventions.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
Monitor patient conditions and respond promptly to medical emergencies.
Assist physicians and advanced practice providers during examinations and procedures.
Assess new admissions and provide ongoing patient care.
Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation in the electronic medical record.
Coordinate patient referrals, transfers, and follow-up care.
Supervise and support LPN/LVN and other clinical staff.
Provide patient health education and counseling.
Ensure compliance with correctional healthcare policies, nursing standards, and regulatory requirements.
Protect the confidentiality and security of all patient medical records.
Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.

Required Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program.
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Valid driver's license.
Current BLS certification.
Ability to obtain facility clearance.
U.S. Citizenship required.
Excellent clinical, communication, and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

One (1) or more years of recent Registered Nurse experience.
Experience in Correctional, Emergency, Medical-Surgical, Acute Care, or Psychiatric Nursing preferred.
Strong assessment, critical thinking, and emergency response skills.
