How will you fit in the big picture?

As a Category Manager , you will play a critical role on the Walmart Advisor Team, helping shape the future of the Walmart team including impulse, take home, seasons, and Sam's Club. You will act as a trusted, unbiased category expert, leveraging data, shopper insights, and industry knowledge to influence strategy and drive category growth.

In this role, you will partner closely with Walmart and cross-functional Hershey teams to identify trends, create strategic direction, and deliver best-in-class merchandising solutions. This is an exciting opportunity to influence the shopper experience at scale while contributing to Hershey’s continued leadership in snacking.

Accountabilities

What will you do?

Identify marketplace trends and translate them into actionable category strategies
Develop and execute merchandising and modular strategies to support growth
Partner with Walmart and internal stakeholders to bring category strategies to life
Analyze retailer, syndicated, and shopper data to generate insights and recommendations
Utilize tools such as Space Planning, Nielsen/Circana data, Tableau, and other analytics platforms
Lead and support execution of category initiatives including relays, fixture innovation, and merchandising enhancements
Manage multiple priorities while ensuring strong attention to detail and timelines
Serve as a category expert, influencing decisions through data-driven storytelling
Collaborate across teams to enhance capabilities and continuously improve processes
Challenge the status quo and bring forward innovative ideas to drive business results

Prior Experience

Minimum Requirements

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree required

Experience:

5+ years of relevant experience in Category Management, CPG, or related field
Experience working with syndicated data sources (e.g., Circana, Nielsen, Numerator, Luminate)
Strong analytical and storytelling skills with ability to influence stakeholders
Proficiency in Excel and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau); experience with space planning tools is a plus
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and adapt in a fast-paced environment
Strong understanding of shopper behavior and category management principles
Excellent collaboration and communication skills
