Dietary Manager / CDM (CDM Preferred) - Join Our Team at Nightingale

Location: Nightingale at Arkadelphia & Nightingale at Glenwood

Job Type: FULL_TIME

Position Summary:

Nightingaleis seeking a dedicated Dietary Manager to lead our dietary department and ensure exceptional meal service for our residents. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership, healthcare dietary experience, and a passion for delivering high-quality nutritional care. A CDM credential is preferred, but candidates with strong supervisory and healthcare dietary backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee all dietary department operations, ensuring timely, accurate, and high-quality meal service.
Coordinate menu planning with the Registered Dietitian to meet clinical, nutritional, and regulatory requirements.
Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant kitchen environment aligned with state and federal guidelines.
Lead, schedule, train, and evaluate dietary staff.
Promote teamwork, accountability, and positive communication.
Support staff retention through coaching, recognition, and consistent leadership.
Ensure compliance with CMS, DOH, and local health department regulations.
Conduct routine audits of sanitation, food safety, and documentation.
Participate in interdisciplinary care plan meetings as needed.
Ensure meals meet resident dietary needs, preferences, and physician orders.
Respond promptly and professionally to resident and family concerns.
Promote a welcoming, enjoyable dining experience for all residents.
Manage inventory, ordering, and cost control for the dietary department.
Maintain accurate records including temperature logs, cleaning schedules, and diet orders.
Collaborate with facility leadership on budgeting, staffing, and operational improvements.

Qualifications:

CDM credential preferred (Certified Dietary Manager).
Experience in a skilled nursing facility or healthcare dietary setting strongly preferred.
Knowledge of nutrition, food service operations, and regulatory standards.
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with nursing, administration, and dietary staff.
Commitment to resident satisfaction and high-quality service.
