Job Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Mortgage Loan Officer and become a vital part of helping clients achieve their homeownership dreams! In this energetic role, you will guide prospective borrowers through the mortgage process, providing expert advice, personalized solutions, and exceptional customer service. Your expertise will drive successful loan origination and ensure compliance with industry regulations, all while building lasting relationships within the community. Duties

Actively engage with clients to assess their financial needs and recommend appropriate mortgage products
Manage the entire loan origination process from application to closing, including loan processing and underwriting collaboration
Conduct credit analysis and evaluate borrower financials using tools like Quicken and other financial software
Negotiate terms with clients while ensuring compliance with FNMA (Fannie Mae) guidelines and Fair Housing regulations
Prepare and review contracts, disclosures such as TILA (Truth in Lending Act), and escrow documentation to ensure accuracy and transparency
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of mortgage servicing procedures, banking regulations, and industry best practices
Utilize basic math skills and 10-key typing proficiency to accurately process loan data and perform calculations
Provide exceptional customer service by guiding clients through complex procedures, answering questions, and ensuring a smooth experience

Skills

Proven experience in mortgage loan origination, loan processing, or as a mortgage loan officer with a strong understanding of the lending lifecycle
Expertise in financial sales, negotiation, credit analysis, and contract review within the mortgage or banking sectors
Familiarity with FNMA guidelines, TILA requirements, Fair Housing regulations, and mortgage servicing standards
Proficiency in financial software such as Quicken, accounting software, escrow management tools, and other banking applications
Strong math skills including basic calculations related to interest rates, payments, and credit assessments
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate complex information clearly and professionally
Knowledge of underwriting processes and familiarity with loan documentation requirements including contracts and escrow procedures
Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
