Full Job Description

Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Restaurant Lead Cook. In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily food preparation, ensure the highest standards of quality and safety. Your passion for exceptional food presentation, and team leadership will drive the success of our restaurant operations.

Responsibilities

Ensure efficient food production and service delivery
Oversee menu planning, ensuring dishes meet quality standards and align with Hyatt Brand Standards
Manage inventory control, including stock rotation, and minimizing waste
Maintain food safety standards by adhering to proper handling, storage, and sanitation procedures
Support catering and banquet services by coordinating with Director of Sales

Qualifications

Proven experience in food production within a restaurant or hospitality setting
Strong knowledge of dietary restrictions and ability to adapt menus accordingly
Expertise in inventory management, food handling, and kitchen safety regulations
Excellent culinary skills with a solid background in cooking techniques and menu planning
Familiarity with inventory control practices

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair malfunctioning electrical/mechanical systems and equipment.
Review maintenance problems, complaints, and work orders to prioritize and schedule work assignments.
Proactively inspect property to identify potential and current needs.
Plan and execute on-going appropriate maintenance programs.
Service the hotel’s pool, including adjusting chemicals and cleaning filters.
Perform preventative maintenance assignments on a scheduled basis.
Maintain the building exterior.
Listen and respond to guests’ maintenance requests.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

1 year in a maintenance role, that required the troubleshooting and repairing of various systems and equipment such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
Valid Driver’s License
Self-directed and ability to work independently.
