Full Job Description

*Job Summary*

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, handle day to day accounting responsibilites, and providing insightful financial analysis to support decision-making. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, as well as the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

*Duties*

Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports
Conduct budgeting and forecasting activities to support organizational financial planning.
Perform cash flow analysis to monitor liquidity and ensure sufficient funds for operations.
Collaborate with public accounting firms during audits and tax preparation processes.
Utilize Sage100 for financial management and reporting purposes.
Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
Record day to day financial transactions and complete the posting process
Verify that transactions are recorded in the correct day book, suppliers ledger, customer ledger, and general ledger
Complete tax forms
Enter data, maintain records, and create reports and financial statements
Maintain the petty cash fund
Record cash receipts and make bank deposits
Conduct a monthly reconciliation of every bank account
Maintain an orderly accounting filing system

Skills

Strong budgeting skills with the ability to create detailed financial plans.
Knowledge of securities law as it pertains to corporate finance.
Solid understanding of cash flow analysis techniques.
Experience in public accounting is a plus, providing a well-rounded perspective on financial matters.
Familiarity with Sage100 or similar financial software systems is advantageous.
Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all financial documentation.
