Location: Upper Marlboro, MD (Hybrid — Office + Field)

Compensation: $80,000 – $100,000 + Performance-Based Bonuses

Who You Are

You are a builder, an operator, and a people leader all in one. You know how to run a large field team — scheduling, training, logistics, accountability — and you take pride in being the person your crew can count on. You’re not just keeping the machine running; you’re building it from scratch. You understand that the people doing the physical work of an event are the ones who determine whether a client’s vision actually comes to life, and you take that responsibility personally.

Why This Role Matters (For You)

This is a rare opportunity: a role that doesn’t exist yet, at a company doing $10M+ in annual event production, with a field team of 40–60 people and a clear mandate to scale to 80+. The install team at Social Supply has never had a dedicated leader — someone entirely in their corner, fighting for their growth, building their systems, and being their single point of contact when things get hard on-site. You won’t be inheriting someone else’s process. You’ll be building it.

What You’ll Actually Do

Own the schedule: Develop and manage the installation staff schedule across all active projects. Ensure the right people are in the right place, every time.
Handle pre-event logistics: Collect and communicate all pre-event venue and client requirements — security clearances, installer credentials, access protocols, site-specific rules.
Lead seasonal hiring: Hire and onboard 15–20 seasonal installers every Spring and Fall season. Partner with HR to build a bench deep enough to scale to 80+.
Own driver management: Hire, train, and manage drivers on safety protocols, proper travel routes, and loading dock procedures. You own their development and accountability.
Build the training program: Create and maintain a structured training curriculum based on the installer position hierarchy (Installer, Lead Installer, Driver).
Mentor and promote: Actively develop the skills and careers of your installers and drivers. Know their goals, create a path to get there, and champion their growth.
Run weekly crew lead meetings: Meet weekly with Crew Leads to review the install and logistics of the following week. Review highlights and issues from the previous week.
Hold regular performance reviews: Perform regular performance reviews with Installers and Drivers. Meet monthly with Crew Leads to review metrics including timeliness, inventory damages, and training status.
Pre-event crew communication: Communicate with all Installers and Drivers before each event. Ensure every crew member is aligned on schedule, site details, and any last-minute changes.
Handle administrative follow-through: Review all receipts from Crew Leads and Drivers and submit to accounting on schedule. Book flights, hotels, and rental cars for out-of-town jobs.
Own the equipment: Manage all tools and equipment used for installs. Track condition, coordinate maintenance, ensure availability.
Be the escalation point: When problems arise on-site that exceed the onsite lead’s capability, you’re the call they make. You diagnose, delegate, or solve.
Stay connected to production: Attend production meetings. Be a regular presence on install sites so you know what’s working and what isn’t.

Results (What Winning Looks Like)

The install team has a voice and a leader. Your crew knows who to go to, trusts that you have their back, and sees a clear path for their growth inside the company.
Escalations are handled cleanly. When something goes wrong on-site, there’s one call to make. You handle it or you direct it.
The schedule works. Install staff are deployed efficiently. Overstaffing and last-minute scrambles are the exception, not the rule.
The team grows with the company. You hire ahead of demand, train people into new levels of responsibility, and build a bench deep enough to scale to 80+.
The process gets better every season. Each year, the install department runs tighter than the last.

Requirements (What You’ve Already Mastered)

5+ years managing field teams in events, production, construction, or a related environment: You’ve run a crew. You know what it takes.
Operations and logistics experience: Scheduling, equipment management, multi-site coordination, and driver logistics — this is familiar territory.
People development: You’ve mentored, trained, and promoted people. You care about the humans on your team, not just the output.
Administrative follow-through: Reporting deadlines, reimbursement approvals, receipt review, data collection — you don’t let the desk work slip.
Comfort in a hybrid role: You’re effective behind a desk and effective on a job site. You don’t see those as separate jobs; they’re the same job.
Valid driver’s license: Required. You’ll be moving between sites. Occasional out-of-state travel may be required.
Bilingual — English and Spanish: Required. A significant portion of our install team communicates primarily in Spanish, and this fluency is essential to leading the crew effectively.

You’re not bilingual in English and Spanish.
