PNW Traffic Control and Supply is a Full-Service Sign and Graphics Company rapidly expanding our capabilities! To maintain our exemplary services, we are looking for a long-term employee to assist in our production facilities, build, and grow with us. Our sign shop is primarily responsible for fabricating large-format signs, road and traffic signs, temporary construction signage, and applying vinyl/material onto aluminum sheets and diverse substrates in a timely manner. Manufactured products include traffic signs, vehicle wraps, trade show displays, ADA signs, along with custom decals and stickers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Sign & Substrate Production
- Prepare substrates for primary sign production, including cutting, painting, laminating, cleaning, and substrate maintenance.
- Follow precise layouts to lay down computer-cut vinyl or full-color graphic images onto aluminum, acrylic, wood, and other heavy substrates.
- Weed excess vinyl from large-format cut graphics and signage components.
- Operate, maintain, and perform routine maintenance or minor repairs on large-format sign printers and vinyl cutters.
- Perform finishing operations for signage such as heavy lamination, encapsulating, and mounting printed pieces.
- Conduct pre- and post-production quality assurance by accurately reading work orders and inspecting for errors or unmet standards.
Graphic Design & Layout
- Create, edit, and prep original artwork, layouts, and print-ready vector files for traffic signs, architectural signage, and graphics.
- Review customer-provided files for scale, proper resolution, standard sizing, and bleed requirements, making necessary adjustments prior to production.
- Occasionally design and prepare print files for short-run custom stickers, decals, and labels, setting up precise kiss-cut or die-cut vector paths.
Sticker & Decal Fabrication
- Output print and cut jobs for secondary items like custom stickers, decals, and safety labels as required by client orders.
- Weed, finish, and apply protective overlays to sticker stock and decal sheets.
Shop Operations & Off-Site Support
- Help unload, store, and maintain raw materials and clean storage areas.
- Report inventory levels and stock reordering needs to the office management team.
- Understand the sales process well enough to consult with customers to determine project needs and solutions.
- Communicate calmly and professionally with customers and fellow employees.
- Adhere strictly to company policies, procedures, business ethics, and MUTCD Guidelines.
- Perform installations at customer locations or other off-site locations as necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
Technical & Design Skills
- Strong graphic design skills with proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (specifically Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop).
- Ability to read plans or shop drawings and utilize equipment/machines to apply material to substrates.
- Hands-on assembly knowledge and experience working with core sign materials such as aluminum, steel, wood, plastic, acrylic, and adhesive vinyls.
- Familiarity with print-file setup for cut paths, registration marks, and bleeds for both sign layouts and decals.
- ThinkSAI / FlexiPrint experience is a plus.
- Photography and videography skills, including photo and video editing knowledge.
- Tech troubleshooting abilities.

- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds maximum alone.
- Flexibility to lean over a waist-high table and use back-and-forth hand motions to apply vinyl letters and graphics to substrates.
- Ability to work under pressure to output high-volume, high-quality work.
- Ability to safely use power tools, utility knives, and hydraulic equipment.
Pay: $28.00 - $31.00 per hour
