Optical Apprentice / Frame Stylist

Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour (Dependent on Experience)

Job Type: Full-Time

Schedule: Monday – Friday (No Weekends!)

What You’ll Do (Frame Stylist & Apprentice Duties)

As a Frame Stylist, you are the face of our optical dispensary. You'll work directly with patients to curate optical solutions tailored to their lifestyle and personal style.

Style & Consult: Guide patients in selecting frames and lens options based on facial structure, color preference, lifestyle needs, and prescription requirements.
Fit & Customization: Take precise fitting measurements (PDs and segment heights) and perform standard bench alignments, frame adjustments, and custom fittings.
Order Management & Operations: Enter patient orders into our practice management system (Eyefinity), assist with inventory management, pricing, and checking in lab jobs.
Patient Care & Repairs: Perform light bench repairs (screw replacements, adjustments, nosepad changes), deliver completed eyewear, and resolve basic patient non-adapts with supervisor support.
Front Office Support: Assist with scheduling appointments, verifying insurance eligibility, taking payments, and answering phone/text inquiries via Weave.

Detail-Oriented & Tech-Savvy: Comfortable multi-tasking across computer platforms, entering data accurately, and handling precise measurements.
Fashion & Styling Eye: An eye for aesthetics, frame proportions, and helping patients feel confident in their eyewear.
Team Player: Dependable, adaptable, and eager to learn a rewarding healthcare trade. No prior optical experience required—training offered for the right candidate!
