Company Description Oral & Facial Surgery Associates is a specialized practice focused on providing advanced oral and maxillofacial surgical care to a diverse patient population. The team collaborates closely with referring dental and medical professionals to deliver safe, efficient, and compassionate treatment. The practice emphasizes clear communication, patient education, and personalized treatment planning to support positive outcomes. Team members work in a professional clinical environment where attention to detail and a strong commitment to patient experience are highly valued.

Role Description The Treatment Coordinator is a full-time, on-site role based in Bedford, TX, responsible for guiding patients through their treatment journey from initial consultation to completion of care. In this role, the coordinator explains proposed treatment plans, reviews financial options, and helps patients understand insurance coverage and out-of-pocket responsibilities. Daily tasks include scheduling appointments, managing follow-ups, coordinating with clinical and administrative teams, and maintaining accurate patient records and documentation. The Treatment Coordinator communicates clearly with patients, answers questions, and ensures they feel supported and informed at every step. This position also involves verifying benefits, obtaining pre-authorizations, and contributing to a smooth, efficient patient flow in the office.

Qualifications

Ability to develop and present comprehensive treatment plans, including Treatment Planning and coordination with clinical staff.

Knowledge of Insurance processes, such as benefit verification, pre-authorizations, and financial discussions with patients.

Strong Customer Service skills, with a focus on creating a welcoming, respectful, and supportive patient experience.

Excellent Communication abilities, including clear verbal explanations, professional phone etiquette, and accurate documentation.

Basic understanding of Dental Care and oral surgery procedures to effectively discuss treatment and answer patient questions.

Prior experience in a dental, oral surgery, or medical office setting is preferred.

Proficiency with practice management software, electronic records, and general computer skills.

High level of organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to work collaboratively with clinical and administrative team members and maintain patient confidentiality.

Qualifications/Preferred Skills & Attributes:

Minimum 2 years of experience in oral surgery, dental, or medical scheduling/treatment coordination required.

Strong understanding of oral surgery procedures, dental terminology, and insurance coding.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to confidently present treatment recommendations and financial options.

Demonstrated ability to manage a treatment pipeline and follow through consistently on pending cases.

Proven ability to influence positive patient decisions while maintaining a patient-first approach.

Preferred Skills & Attributes

Bilingual (Spanish) strongly preferred

Experience with Open Dental or other EHR

Strong ability to build rapport quickly and establish trust with patients.

Confident and comfortable discussing financial arrangements and payment options.

Persuasive communicator who can overcome objections with empathy and professionalism.

Highly organized with strong follow-through and attention to detail.

Results-driven mindset with the ability to track and improve performance metrics.

Self-motivated and proactive

High emotional intelligence and ability to read patient hesitation.

Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour
