In this role, you will serve as the senior hands‑on practitioner responsible for stabilizing, administering, supporting, and improving Karman’s Epicor ERP environment, with primary emphasis on Epicor Kinetic. You will combine technical and functional expertise to resolve complex issues, strengthen processes, improve data quality, support reporting needs, and enhance operational reliability across all sites.
Responsibilities
- Administers, supports, monitors, and improves the Epicor ERP environment across enterprise and site operations with a focus on Epicor Kinetic.
- Provides advanced functional and technical support across manufacturing, supply chain, inventory, planning, engineering, quality, costing, finance, order management, and program execution.
- Troubleshoots complex transaction, configuration, workflow, reporting, integration, security, and performance issues, using root‑cause analysis to reduce recurring incidents.
- Maintains Epicor security roles, dashboards, business activity queries (BAQs), business process management (BPM) workflows, Application Studio components, forms, alerts, and approved configurations.
- Leads disciplined triage and execution across Epicor incidents, requests, enhancements, and recurring problems in alignment with established priorities and service expectations.
- Supports Epicor upgrades, patches, environment refreshes, testing, release readiness, cutover, rollback, and stabilization activities.
- Develops runbooks, recovery procedures, documentation, and cross‑training materials to reduce key‑person dependency.
- Partners with functional teams to understand business needs and translate approved requirements into practical Epicor configurations, workflows, reports, data adjustments, or integration solutions.
- Improves end‑to‑end business processes including quote‑to‑cash, order‑to‑delivery, procure‑to‑pay, plan‑to‑produce, inventory management, engineering change, bills of materials (BOMs), routings, quality, costing, and record‑to‑report.
- Develops, maintains, and supports Epicor reports, dashboards, BAQs, queries, extracts, and operational reporting tools.
- Strengthens master‑data quality and transactional accuracy across customers, suppliers, parts, BOMs, routings, resources, costing, inventory, and financial structures.
- Supports data cleanup, validation, migration, reconciliation, and conversion activities with documented controls and business‑owner approval.
- Configures and enhances Epicor using approved, supportable methods including BAQs, BPMs, Application Studio, dashboards, alerts, forms, data management tool (DMT) packages, reports, and REST services.
- Supports integration troubleshooting, documentation, and sustainable resolution across Epicor and connected systems.
- Administers or supports Epicor user access, role design, segregation of duties, privileged access, and periodic access reviews.
- Supports evidence collection and documentation for audits, assessments, and remediation activities.
- Develops and maintains user guides, job aids, configuration records, knowledge articles, and technical documentation.
- Trains and coaches users, super users, analysts, and process owners to strengthen transaction discipline and system adoption.
- Supports Epicor activities for site onboarding, acquisitions, data migration, harmonization, cutover, and post‑integration stabilization.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, Operations, Finance, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field; equivalent experience considered.
- Five or more years of hands‑on Epicor ERP experience in administration, application support, business systems analysis, or a related role, including recent experience with Epicor 10 or Epicor Kinetic.
- Experience supporting Epicor‑enabled manufacturing, supply chain, inventory, engineering, quality, planning, costing, finance, and order‑management processes.
- Hands‑on experience with Epicor configuration and security and with several of the following tools: BAQs, BPMs, Application Studio, DMT, dashboards, SQL‑based troubleshooting, reports, REST services, and release support.
- Ability to diagnose complex system, process, data, and integration issues and drive sustainable resolution.
- Experience gathering requirements, documenting processes, defining controls, and translating business needs into supportable Epicor solutions.
- Strong documentation, communication, facilitation, and stakeholder‑management skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced, multi‑site environment with appropriate controls and follow‑through.
- Ability to travel occasionally to support site operations, workshops, implementations, integrations, training, or major system changes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Deep experience with Epicor Kinetic in multi‑site or regulated manufacturing environments.
- Experience with Epicor Application Studio, BAQs, BPMs, data and method directives, DMT, SQL Server, REST APIs, EDI, customizations, and troubleshooting.
- Experience in aerospace, defense, or other regulated environments.
- Experience with Power BI, Microsoft SQL Server, Excel, SharePoint, Power Platform, middleware, data migration, or master‑data governance.
- Familiarity with Sarbanes‑Oxley Act (SOX) IT general controls (ITGC), Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC), National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Special Publication 800‑171, Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) requirements, and access/change‑control disciplines.
- Experience supporting acquisitions, ERP harmonization, site onboarding, consolidation, or enterprise process standardization.
