Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our innovative team in driving manufacturing excellence within our state-of-the-art facility. The ideal candidate will leverage expertise in industrial engineering, process optimization, and mechanical design to enhance production efficiency, quality, and safety. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge manufacturing processes, including plastics injection molding, robotics, CNC programming, and continuous improvement initiatives. The Manufacturing Engineer will collaborate across departments to develop and implement solutions that support ISO 9001 standards and lean manufacturing principles.

Responsibilities

Develop and manage project schedules to ensure timely completion of engineering initiatives and process improvements.
Conduct root cause analysis to identify issues affecting production quality or efficiency and implement corrective actions.
Design, modify, and optimize manufacturing equipment and tooling using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo, and CAD software.
Program and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs), robotics, CNC machines, and vision inspection systems to enhance automation capabilities.
Lead process engineering efforts for plastics injection molding, fabrication, welding, assembly line setup, and tooling development.
Create detailed schematics, technical drawings, and documentation adhering to GD&T standards for manufacturing processes.
Implement continuous improvement strategies utilizing lean manufacturing techniques to reduce waste and increase productivity.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on industrial equipment upgrades, factory layout planning, and fabrication projects.
Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 standards by developing quality control procedures and conducting regular audits.
Support factory experience initiatives by training staff on new processes and equipment operation.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or related field; advanced degrees are a plus.
Proven experience in a manufacturing environment with a focus on process engineering or industrial engineering roles.
Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in assembly line setup, robotics integration, CNC programming (including CAM), and tooling fabrication.
Proficiency with CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo; experience with Schematics and GD&T is essential.
Skilled in PLC programming, robot programming, vision inspection systems, and industrial equipment troubleshooting.
Knowledge of plastics injection molding processes and lean manufacturing principles.
Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards and continuous improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma or Kaizen.
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to perform root cause analysis effectively.
Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
