Duties:
- Prepare cash flow input and analysis: Collect, input, and analyze borrower financial information, including tax returns, personal financial statements, and business financial statements, prepare detailed cash flow analyses to evaluate repayment capacity and identify strengths, weaknesses, and potential risks to support sound credit decisions.
- Review credit inquiries: Review consumer and commercial credit reports during underwriting; evaluate inquiries, debt obligations, payment history, and risk factors; investigate discrepancies or concerns; communicate findings to lenders and management; and ensure analysis supports sound lending decisions and Bank policy compliance.
- Prepare loan approval requests and submit for approval: Prepare accurate and comprehensive financial analyses, support documentation, and underwrite information; coordinating with lenders and Business Developers to obtain necessary information.
- Assist Business Developers with Collection efforts: Support Business Developers in the collection of delinquent loans and troubled credits, preparing financial analyses, repayment projections, and workout recommendations, and participating in borrower meetings to help develop collection strategies that reduce credit risk.
- Loan portfolio stress testing: Evaluate the potential impact of adverse economic conditions on asset quality and capital, analyzing portfolio segments by industry, loan type, collateral, and borrower characteristics, and preparing reports and recommendations based on stress testing results and emerging risk trends.
- Credit file management: Proactively identify credit risk and monitor the loan portfolio through ongoing financial analysis, recommending corrective actions and enhanced monitoring where appropriate to support sound asset quality, prudent risk management, and regulatory compliance.
- Large relationship overviews and management of financial documentation: Maintain financial records for significant borrowing relationships, prepare relationship overviews, track required documentation and deadlines, and report material financial changes or concerns to management.
- Monthly production report preparation: Prepare recurring loan department reports ensuring accuracy, completion, and timely submission.
- Loan condition tracking and documentation: Monitor loan approval conditions, track required documentation, follow up on outstanding items, report unresolved exceptions to management, and support complete, accurate, and compliant loan files.
- Understanding of Loan Policy: Maintain a thorough understanding and application of the Bank's Loan Policy, credit culture, underwriting standards, and regulatory requirements by ensuring all analyses, recommendations, and loan administration activities comply with established policies and procedures and by assisting lenders and staff with policy interpretation when needed.
- Large borrower financial tracking: Review financial statements, tax returns, borrowing base reports, and other required information; identifying adverse trends, covenant violations, or emerging credit concerns; and maintaining current financial information on all designated large borrower relationships.
- Loan covenant tracking: Monitor reporting requirements and other loan agreement provisions, following up with lenders and borrowers to obtain required documentation within established timelines, documenting compliance, and reporting exceptions to management.
- Annual completion of large borrower overview memos: Prepare comprehensive relationship reviews for significant borrowing relationships; analyzing borrower financial performance, industry conditions, collateral position, guarantor strength, and overall credit quality
- Standing commitment tracker: Ensure commitments, lines of credit, and unfunded obligations are accurately reflected; and monitor commitment levels for potential concentration or exposure concerns.
- Loan delinquency/grade monitoring: Monitor loan delinquency and risk grades by reviewing delinquency reports, watch lists, and classified assets to identify trends and emerging problem credits, ensuring risk grades are timely updated based on borrower performance and changing financial conditions, and recommending appropriate risk grade changes and corrective actions when warranted.
- Assist with managing/liquidating bank owned assets: Support the management, valuation, maintenance, marketing, and disposition of Other Real Estate Owned (OREO) and other bank-owned assets; coordinating with third-party vendors, appraisers, attorneys, and real estate professionals as needed; and helping ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to asset disposition.
- Construction inspection review, completion and funding: Review construction inspection reports, support documentation, and draw requests to verify completion of work, adequacy of collateral, and compliance with loan terms and approved construction budgets before coordinating the timely funding of approved construction loan advances.
- Manage bankrupt loan portfolio: Monitor and administer loans involved in bankruptcy proceedings; maintaining bankruptcy records, tracking court filings and deadlines, and providing status updates on affected relationships; and evaluating recovery prospects while assisting in the development of workout and resolution strategies.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor degree required
- Prior banking experience preferred
- Experience with Fiserv Navigator preferred
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially in Excel.
- Understanding of tax documents preferred.
- Attention to detail with high degree of accuracy.
- Willingness to take direction and be proactive in seeking additional duties and responsibilities.
- Mathematical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
