Job Overview

Join our dynamic team as a Cheerleading Coach, where you will inspire and lead energetic cheer squads to perform at their best! In this paid role, you’ll develop engaging routines, foster team spirit, and promote athletic excellence among youth and teen cheerleaders. Your passion for sports, leadership skills, and dedication to positive youth development will help elevate our cheer programs to new heights. This is an exciting opportunity to make a lasting impact while staying active and involved in the vibrant world of cheerleading and sports coaching.

Duties

Design and teach creative cheer routines that emphasize teamwork, coordination, and enthusiasm
Lead practices and training sessions focused on cheerleading techniques, stunts, jumps, and dance moves
Foster a positive environment that encourages sportsmanship, discipline, and confidence among team members
Monitor safety protocols during practices and performances, ensuring proper use of equipment and techniques
Provide coaching support during competitions, games, and community events to motivate participants
Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding team progress, schedules, and safety guidelines
Maintain accurate attendance records, progress reports, and safety documentation for all team activities

Skills

Proven experience in cheerleading coaching or performing at a competitive level
Strong knowledge of cheerleading techniques including stunts, tumbling, jumps, and dance
Background in sports-specific training instruction such as soccer coaching or basketball fundamentals is a plus
Excellent communication skills to effectively motivate students and liaise with parents and staff
Ability to lead teams with confidence while managing behavior and fostering teamwork
Experience working with children or teenagers in a coaching or teaching capacity
Certifications in First Aid, CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), AED operation (Automated External Defibrillator), and child safety are highly desirable
Familiarity with martial arts such as karate or judo can enhance stunt safety training
Knowledge of health club or gym environments supports safe physical activity practices
Skills in behavior management to promote respectful conduct during all activities
