Who We Are Project VOYCE (Voices of Youth Creating Equity) partners with youth to develop transformative youth leaders who are engaged equitably in their own development and the development of their communities. Position Summary

The Programs Specialist plays a critical role in delivering Project VOYCE’s youth leadership programs across partner schools and community spaces. This position supports program facilitation, curriculum development, data collection and analysis, storytelling, and partnership engagement. The individual will work within school settings, after school programs, and weekend workshops to support implementation of programming.

This role requires a strong thought processor who can support the continuous development and optimization of PV’s programming model. The Programs Specialist must demonstrate commitment, adaptability, and a willingness to grow with the organization while supporting long-term program excellence. Must have willingness to learn and implement the Franklin Covey 7 Habits model and/or have a Franklin Covey 7 Habits certification

During the first quarter of employment, the Programs Specialist will observe and train alongside the Executive Director and Manager of Administration and Operations, gradually assuming facilitation and program responsibilities as proficiency develops.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Program Facilitation & Delivery

Facilitates PV programs including Seed2Lead, Jr. CEO’s, and CEO’s across school sites.
Facilitates PV workshops including ATHLEAD and LeadHERship.
Supports session planning, lesson delivery, and group engagement using the Franklin Covey 7 Habits framework.
Helps maintain consistency and quality across all program sites.
Ensures all program activities and deliverables align with the organization's long-term vision.

Program Development & Curriculum Support

Assists with curriculum development, refinement, and alignment with leadership competencies.
Supports the creation of lesson plans, facilitation tools, and youth engagement materials.

Data Collection & Impact Measurement

Collects attendance, participation, and program outcome data.
Assists with data entry, interpretation, and visualization using spreadsheets and internal tools.
Supports pre and post survey distribution and analysis.

Storytelling & Media Capture

Captures photos, videos, and testimonials during sessions and events.
Supports development of impact stories for social media, reports, and funder materials.
Maintains and organizes digital folders for photos, videos, and program documentation.

Training & Participant Development

Assists with training youth, volunteers, and staff in leadership concepts and facilitation practices.
Supports the gradual transition from observation to lead facilitation during their first quarter.
Attend all programmatic meetings necessary for continued efficiency and development.

Community & School Partnership Support

Assists with training youth, volunteers, and staff in leadership concepts and facilitation practices.
Supports communication with school partners and program stakeholders.
Assists in securing and maintaining community and corporate sponsorships connected to programming.
Participates in partner meetings, site visits, and events as needed.
All other duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, to support programming, events, and community outreach.
Must have reliable personal transportation and a valid driver’s license for travel throughout the Denver Metro area and occasionally statewide.
Willingness to use a personal vehicle to transport program materials, supplies, or equipment; mileage reimbursed per organizational policy.
Must have access to and maintain a reliable personal laptop suitable for work-related tasks, meetings, and reporting.
Candidates must have a satisfactory background record and be eligible for access to schools and facilities serving youth. A background check will be conducted prior to employment in accordance with applicable Colorado laws.
Ability to lift, carry, and transport materials or equipment up to 25–40 pounds.
Capable of setting up and breaking down program or event spaces, including moving tables, chairs, and displays.
Comfortable standing or walking for extended periods during workshops, youth sessions, and community events.
Proficient in the use of technology (laptop, phone, projector, etc.) to support program facilitation, communication, and reporting.
Comfortable working in diverse environments, including schools, community centers, and outdoor settings.
Able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

2-3 years of experience in nonprofit operations, administration, or project management.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Comfort with digital platforms (e.g., Google Suite, Microsoft Office, CRMs, project management tools).
High emotional intelligence, cultural humility, and commitment to youth-driven and equity-centered work.
Experience supporting executive leadership and interfacing with youth.
Familiarity with nonprofit governance, compliance, or risk management frameworks is a plus.
Experience with photography or media capture a plus.
Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask across multiple sites.
