Maruca Design is a locally owned handbag manufacturer located in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. We produce distinctive fabric handbags and accessories using a combination of local production and skilled independent seamstresses.
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Warehouse Order Fulfillment & Production Bundle Picker to support our customer order and manufacturing operations. This position is responsible for accurately picking finished goods for customer orders and preparing complete production-material bundles for our seamstresses.
This is not simply a general warehouse position. The role requires careful counting, organization, documentation, and the ability to distinguish among similar products, fabrics, colors, and components. Accuracy is essential because picking errors can delay customer shipments and interrupt production.
Primary Responsibilities:
Customer Order Fulfillment
- Pick handbags, accessories, and other finished goods for wholesale and retail customer orders.
- Verify the correct style, color, quantity, and condition of each item against the order paperwork.
- Keep merchandise separated and clearly organized by customer and order number.
- Identify shortages, damaged products, inventory discrepancies, or other concerns before orders are packed or shipped.
- Stage completed orders in the appropriate packing or shipping area.
- Assist with packing, labeling, and other order-fulfillment duties as needed.
- Prioritize work according to ship dates, rush requirements, carrier pickup times, and management direction.
- Return unused or incorrectly pulled merchandise to its designated inventory location.
Production Bundle Picking
- Pull all materials required for assigned handbag-production bundles using bills of materials, production orders, cut sheets, and picking paperwork.
- Pick the correct quantities of cut fabric components, liners, webbing, zippers, hardware, labels, tabs, thread, and other required materials.
- Confirm that all materials match the correct style, color, production order, quantity, and seamstress assignment.
- Physically count components rather than estimating quantities.
- Keep materials for different styles, colors, and production orders organized and separate.
- Identify and report missing, damaged, incorrect, or insufficient components before a bundle leaves the facility.
- Stage completed bundles for seamstress pickup or delivery by the required deadline.
- Receive and organize completed goods, unused components, returned materials, and paperwork when assigned.
Verification and Documentation
- Compare every picked order and production bundle against its corresponding paperwork before releasing it.
- Initial or sign picking documents to confirm that the order or bundle was checked.
- Photograph bundle contents and paperwork before bundles leave the facility, as required by company procedures.
- Retain original picking paperwork and place the appropriate copy with each outgoing bundle.
- Clearly document shortages, overages, substitutions, discrepancies, and returned materials.
- Maintain traceability among production order numbers, purchase order numbers, seamstress assignments, styles, colors, and quantities.
- Notify the Operations Manager promptly when paperwork conflicts with physical inventory or when instructions are unclear.
- Do not independently change quantities, substitute materials, alter production paperwork, or release incomplete bundles without authorization.
Inventory and Quality Control
- Help maintain accurate and orderly inventory locations for finished goods, cut components, hardware, and production materials.
- Return inventory to its designated shelf, bin, box, or storage area.
- Keep partial quantities, open boxes, and returned materials clearly labeled.
- Report mislabeled inventory, unexpected shortages or overages, damaged goods, and materials stored in incorrect locations.
- Assist with cycle counts, physical inventory counts, and discrepancy research.
- Visually inspect finished goods and production components for obvious defects, damage, contamination, incorrect color, or incorrect hardware.
- Separate questionable products or materials and bring them to management for review.
- Confirm that finished goods are in saleable condition and production components are usable before releasing them.
Warehouse Organization and Support
- Maintain clean, organized, and accessible picking, inventory, and staging areas.
- Keep aisles, walkways, exits, and work areas clear.
- Break down boxes and dispose of packaging and warehouse waste properly.
- Assist with receiving, moving, organizing, and putting away incoming inventory and supplies.
- Use carts, shelving, step stools, ladders, and other warehouse equipment safely.
- Assist with other warehouse, fulfillment, and production-support duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Strong counting and basic math skills.
- Ability to follow written instructions and multi-step procedures consistently.
- Ability to read order documents, product labels, inventory records, and production paperwork.
- Ability to distinguish among similar colors, fabrics, hardware components, product styles, and sizes.
- Ability to organize multiple orders and production bundles without mixing materials.
- Clear communication skills and willingness to report problems or ask questions when instructions are unclear.
- Dependable attendance and ability to complete work by established deadlines.
- Ability to work independently while following established procedures.
- Basic computer and data-entry skills.
- Previous experience in warehouse picking, order fulfillment, manufacturing, production materials, inventory control, or shipping is preferred but not required.
Physical Requirements
The employee must be able to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation, including:
- Standing and walking for extended periods.
- Frequently bending, reaching, sorting, counting, and handling materials.
- Moving throughout warehouse and production areas.
- Safely using step stools or ladders to reach stored inventory.

Compensation and Benefits
- Hourly compensation of $20–$23 per hour, depending on relevant experience and qualifications.
