Social Media Intern

We are looking for a creative, motivated, and driven individual to join our team! This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience in a professional sports organization while developing skills that will prepare you for a successful career. This is an excellent opportunity to build your resume, expand your professional network, and make a meaningful impact while learning in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. We are seeking individuals who are eager to learn, take initiative, and bring fresh ideas to help our organization continue to grow.

Responsibilities:

Assist in crafting engaging, visually appealing content that resonates with our target audience and drives brand awareness for social media platforms
Manage daily social media postings, ensuring consistency in branding, tone, and messaging while optimizing for engagement. (Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, LinkedIn etc.)
Stay updated on the latest social media trends, platform updates, and digital marketing techniques to continually refine content strategies.
Attend game days to create content
Sending out PR materials & helping with media outreach and research
Growing the PR presence of the brand (community events, etc.)
Contributing to marketing and social media initiatives

Requirements and Qualifications:

Student Status: Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a degree program in marketing, communications, journalism, or a related field.
Platform Knowledge: Strong daily familiarity with major social media networks and current online trends.
Tool Skills: Basic experience with design or editing tools like Canva, CapCut, or Adobe.
Communication: Clear writing skills and a good eye for brand style and detail.

Position Details

Type: Internship / Part-Time (Academic Credit)
Schedule: Weekdays as needed, Evenings and weekends required; based on athletic event
