Sit Stay Concierge Pet Wellness is hiring compassionate, dependable professionals for relief and part-time in-home pet wellness work across Virginia. This combined opening includes Veterinary Technicians, Veterinary Assistants, and Professional Groomers.
Compensation and service area
Starting at $25 per 30-minute appointment (equivalent to $50/hour), plus mileage reimbursement of $0.10 per mile between appointments. Candidates must be willing to travel throughout Fauquier, Loudoun, Fairfax, Warren, Prince William, Rappahannock, Arlington, Culpeper, and Stafford Counties, as well as Fredericksburg.
Veterinary Technician and Veterinary Assistant responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, in-home pet wellness services.
- Administer medications, insulin injections, and subcutaneous fluids as requested.
- Perform nail trims, ear cleaning, sanitary trims, light mat clipping, and specialized pet sitting for pets with medical or mobility needs.
- Observe pets for changes in condition and communicate concerns to owners; recommend veterinary examination when medical evaluation appears needed.
- Maintain accurate visit notes, excellent client communication, and exceptional customer service.
- Use the booking and appointment app effectively while working independently in clients' homes.
Professional Groomer responsibilities
- Provide gentle, individualized in-home grooming services.
- Safely handle pets of all sizes, breeds, and temperaments.
- Educate clients on coat maintenance and skin health; identify concerns that should be evaluated by a veterinarian.
- Maintain grooming equipment and a clean, organized work environment.
- Communicate effectively with clients and the manager and use the booking and appointment app.

Qualifications
- Experience as a Veterinary Technician, Veterinary Assistant, or Professional Groomer preferred.
- Excellent animal handling skills and a compassionate, patient, gentle approach.
- Fear Free certification or low-stress handling experience is a significant plus.
- Reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and willingness to travel throughout the Virginia service area.
- Comfortable working independently in clients' homes and adapting to changing environments and individual patient needs.
- Dependable, organized, self-motivated, personable, and professional with clients.
- Strong communication skills and comfort using a booking and appointment application.
