**** Job Summary ****
Family Nurse Practitioner – Primary Care & Functional Medicine
**** Build Something Meaningful. Practice Medicine Differently. ****
What if you had the time to truly understand why your patients are sick instead of simply treating symptoms?
At NOVA IV Therapy, we believe healthcare should go beyond symptom management. Our mission is to combine evidence-based primary care with evidence-informed functional medicine to help patients uncover the underlying causes of illness while building healthier, longer lives.
We are seeking an experienced Family Nurse Practitioner to become the primary day-to-day clinical provider within our growing practice. This position begins as a part-time W-2 opportunity (approximately 20–25 hours per week) with a planned pathway to a full-time salaried leadership role as patient volume grows.
This is an exceptional opportunity for a clinician who enjoys learning, embraces technology, values meaningful patient relationships, and wants to help build a modern medical practice from the ground up.
**** Why This Opportunity Is Different ****
Unlike many traditional primary care practices, we intentionally prioritize quality over volume.
Our long-term clinical model is designed around approximately 16–18 patient visits per provider each day, allowing sufficient time for comprehensive evaluations, patient education, thoughtful documentation, and individualized treatment planning.
You'll also receive structured training in:
- Functional Medicine principles
- Specialty laboratory interpretation
- Nutraceutical therapy through Fullscript
- IV nutrient therapy
- Ozone therapy
- Weight management
- Hormone optimization
- Optimantra electronic health record
- AI-enabled clinical workflows and modern healthcare technology
If you've ever wanted to help build a medical practice—not simply work in one—this role offers that opportunity.
**** What You'll Do ****
As the primary clinical provider, you will:
- Provide comprehensive outpatient primary care for patients ages 12 through geriatrics.
- Diagnose and manage acute illnesses, chronic medical conditions, preventive care, annual wellness visits, prescription management, and follow-up appointments.
- Perform Functional Medicine consultations, specialty laboratory interpretation, weight management, hormone optimization, and individualized treatment planning.
- Conduct IV Therapy consultations and collaborate closely with our IV Nurse regarding clinically appropriate treatment recommendations.
- Order and interpret laboratory testing using evidence-based clinical judgment.
- Prescribe medications, nutraceuticals, and other therapies when clinically appropriate.
- Complete timely and accurate documentation within the Optimantra electronic health record.
- Deliver an exceptional patient experience through education, communication, and compassionate care.
**** Leadership Responsibilities ****
This position serves as the primary daily clinical leader within the practice.
Responsibilities include:
- Provide day-to-day clinical supervision and support to our Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
- Collaborate with the Medical Director regarding patient care when appropriate.
- Provide verbal clinical guidance regarding IV therapies and patient care within scope.
- Support front-office staff with clinical workflows while the practice continues to grow.
- Help establish clinical processes that promote efficiency, quality, and outstanding patient care.
**** Practice Stewardship ****
We believe exceptional clinicians also understand how thoughtful practice management supports better patient care.
The successful candidate should appreciate the value of coordinating appropriate laboratory testing, evidence-informed nutraceutical recommendations through Fullscript, and clinically indicated IV and ozone therapies when they provide meaningful benefit for patients.
Clinical decisions should always place patient welfare first while supporting continuity of care and the long-term sustainability of a growing practice.

**** A Note from the Founder ****
I didn't create NOVA IV Therapy because I wanted to own a medical practice. I created it because I experienced firsthand how difficult it can be for patients with complex, chronic health conditions to find providers who truly have the time, curiosity, and compassion to look beyond symptoms and ask, "Why is this happening?"
That experience shaped the vision for our practice.
Our goal is to combine the strengths of conventional medicine with evidence-informed functional medicine to provide thoughtful, individualized care that helps patients better understand their health and become active participants in their healing journey. We believe in taking the time to educate patients, building long-term relationships, and creating an environment where both patients and clinicians continue learning together.
I'm looking for more than an experienced Nurse Practitioner. I'm looking for someone who wants to become part of our practice family—someone our current team enjoys working alongside and our patients come to know and trust. Someone who isn't afraid to ask questions, explore new ideas, and help shape the future of a growing practice.
I don't expect anyone to know everything about functional medicine on their first day. What I do hope they bring is curiosity, humility, kindness, and a genuine commitment to keep learning alongside us.
If that sounds like the kind of medicine you've always wanted to practice, I would genuinely love the opportunity to meet you.
