Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Housekeeper/Laundry Worker to join our hospitality team. In this vital role, you will ensure the cleanliness, sanitation, and overall presentation of guest rooms, public areas, and laundry facilities. Your attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards will create a welcoming environment for our guests. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic hospitality setting where your efforts directly contribute to guest satisfaction and the smooth operation of our establishment.

Responsibilities

Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemical agents.
Handle laundry tasks efficiently, including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens and guest clothing while adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) for chemical handling.
Maintain cleanliness in public areas such as lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and common spaces by executing floor care procedures like mopping and sweeping.
Operate janitorial equipment safely and effectively to ensure optimal cleaning results across all assigned areas.
Follow hotel housekeeping management protocols, including sanitation standards and hotel emergency procedures to ensure guest safety at all times.
Assist with heavy lifting tasks related to linen carts or cleaning supplies while observing proper manual handling techniques.
Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to guest requests and ensuring their comfort throughout their stay.

Qualifications

Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or custodial services, with knowledge of industrial cleaning practices preferred.
Familiarity with floor cleaning techniques including vacuuming, mopping, and floor care maintenance.
Ability to handle chemical agents safely by understanding safety data sheets (SDS) and proper chemical handling procedures.
Strong manual handling skills for heavy lifting tasks associated with laundry carts or cleaning equipment.
Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude towards guests and team members.
Knowledge of hotel emergency procedures and sanitation standards is highly desirable.
Previous janitorial or custodial experience in hospitality or industrial settings is advantageous.
