Location: Biltmore (Asheville, NC)
Position Type: Full-Time
Department: Accounting / Finance

SCM is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Credit Specialist to support credit operations, account setup, and cash application activities. This role is ideal for someone with strong analytical skills, solid financial judgment, and a commitment to accuracy and customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
What You’ll Do:

Review credit applications, analyze financial information, and recommend credit limits and terms.
Open new customer accounts and maintain accurate credit files and records.
Process daily cash receipts and support timely, accurate account reconciliation.
Work closely with internal teams and customers to resolve credit or account-related issues.

What We’re Looking For:

Strong financial, accounting, or credit analysis background
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to communicate professionally with customers and internal teams
Sound judgment, problem-solving ability, and customer focus
Proficiency with standard office and accounting software

Supervisory Responsibility:
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Physical Demands:

This is largely a sedentary role, requiring use of typical office equipment such as a computer, laptop, and phone.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday.
Occasional early morning, evening, and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Education and Experience:;

High school diploma or equivalent required
Related experience in accounting, finance, credit, or accounts receivable preferred
Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, or a related field is a plus

Additional Requirements:

Strong attendance, dependability, and professionalism
Ability to handle confidential financial information with discretion
