Overview

Join our dynamic team as a Payroll Manager and lead the strategic management of payroll operations to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. In this vital role, you will oversee payroll processing, maintain compliance with labor and tax laws, and collaborate with HR and finance teams to support organizational goals. Your expertise will help us deliver seamless payroll services while safeguarding confidential information and maintaining high standards of accuracy. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence payroll systems and contribute to a positive employee experience through meticulous management and innovative solutions.

Responsibilities

Oversee end-to-end payroll processing using systems such as Workday, ADP, Paychex, UltiPro, Kronos, Ceridian, and other payroll software.
Ensure compliance with employment law, labor regulations, tax law, and company policies related to payroll and benefits administration.
Manage payroll data entry, account reconciliation, journal entries, and general ledger reconciliation to support accurate financial reporting.
Collaborate with HRIS teams to optimize payroll systems (e.g., PeopleSoft, HR systems) for efficiency and data integrity.
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee information while handling payroll tax calculations, benefits administration, and non-profit accounting if applicable.
Conduct analysis of payroll data for discrepancies or errors; resolve issues promptly through investigation and correction.
Prepare reports related to payroll processing, labor law compliance, tax filings, and financial analysis for internal stakeholders.
Stay current on updates in employment & labor law, tax law, and financial concepts affecting payroll operations; implement necessary changes proactively.

Skills

Extensive experience with payroll systems such as Workday, ADP, Paychex, Kronos, UltiPro, Ceridian; technical support knowledge is a plus.
Strong understanding of corporate accounting principles including double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, journal entries, general ledger accounting.
Proficiency in spreadsheets (Excel), financial software, accounting software, and time & attendance systems for accurate data management.
Knowledge of employment law, labor law compliance requirements related to payroll processing and employee classification.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion; excellent attention to detail in data entry and account reconciliation.
Familiarity with benefits administration processes including benefits enrollment and non-profit accounting practices if relevant.
Strong analysis skills for identifying discrepancies; excellent organizational skills for managing multiple tasks efficiently.
