Elyon Cabinets is looking for an experienced, driven, and forward-thinking Shop Leader to help lead production at our cabinet manufacturing facility in Mansfield, Ohio.
This is not simply a working supervisor position. We need a proven leader who understands cabinetry, knows how to drive production, can earn the respect of a team, and takes ownership of results.
The right person will bring a strong combination of cabinetry knowledge, manufacturing experience, leadership ability, urgency, and practical problem-solving. You must be comfortable working under pressure, managing people, solving production challenges, and ensuring that daily and weekly production targets are met.
What We Are Looking For
The ideal candidate will have:
- Ideally 10–20 years of cabinetry or cabinet manufacturing experience
- A minimum of 10 years of professional carpentry experience
- Proven leadership experience in a cabinet shop, woodworking facility, millwork operation, or manufacturing environment
- A production-driven mindset with a strong focus on quality, efficiency, and output
- The ability to lead, train, coach, and hold team members accountable
- Strong communication and people-management skills
- The ability to remain calm, decisive, and effective under pressure
- A forward-thinking approach to systems, workflow, automation, and continuous improvement
- Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on problem-solving ability
- A high level of personal accountability and ownership
Major Advantages
Experience in any of the following areas will be considered a significant advantage:
- Manufacturing cabinet doors
- Building dovetail or wood drawer boxes
- Operating and programming CNC equipment
- Running edgebanders, saws, moulders, sanders, or automated woodworking equipment
- Cabinet assembly and frameless cabinet construction
- Spray finishing or cabinet finishing systems
- Production scheduling and workflow management
- Lean manufacturing, process improvement, or shop organization
- Equipment troubleshooting and preventative maintenance
Key Responsibilities
The Shop Leader will be responsible for:
- Leading daily production throughout the cabinet shop
- Ensuring production goals, schedules, and quality standards are consistently achieved
- Assigning work and coordinating labor based on production priorities
- Monitoring output and identifying bottlenecks before they become major problems
- Training employees on equipment, quality standards, safety, and proper work methods
- Holding team members accountable for attendance, performance, quality, and productivity
- Building a strong, dependable, and results-oriented shop culture
- Working closely with company leadership to improve systems and increase capacity
- Troubleshooting production, equipment, staffing, and workflow issues
- Helping develop standard operating procedures and repeatable production systems
- Maintaining a clean, organized, safe, and professional manufacturing environment
- Leading from the front and stepping into production when necessary

Compensation and Opportunity
- $30–$40 per hour, depending on experience
