Business Unit Lead / Vice President - Electrical Data Center Division
A leading $1BN+ Electrical Contractor is seeking a high caliber Business Unit Lead / Vice President to lead the expansion of its dedicated Electrical Data Center Division.
Unlike many market entrants attempting to break into the sector, this organisation already has an established presence, projects, and existing client demand within the Data Center market.
The division is being built specifically to support and scale that growing demand.
This is a rare opportunity to step into a platform with existing momentum, strong financial backing, executive support, and a long term strategic vision already in place.
The immediate focus will be aggressively scaling the Data Center business over the next 3–5 years, before strategically expanding into additional high growth sectors over the following 5–10 years.
The successful individual will have the opportunity to shape and lead the division, including operational strategy, business growth, project delivery capability, team development, and long term market positioning.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the overall growth and strategic direction of the Electrical Data Center Division
- Build and develop high performing operational and project delivery teams
- Drive business development initiatives and strengthen existing client relationships across the Data Center market
- Oversee P&L performance, forecasting, and operational execution
- Establish scalable systems, processes, and delivery frameworks to support sustained growth
- Work closely with executive leadership to execute short and long term business objectives
- Further position the organisation as a premier Electrical partner within the Mission Critical and Data Center space
Requirements
- Proven leadership experience within the Electrical Contracting, Mission Critical, or Data Center construction sector
- Strong operational and commercial leadership capability
- Track record of successfully scaling teams, divisions, or business units
- Deep understanding of large scale electrical infrastructure and Data Center projects
- Existing industry relationships within the Data Center ecosystem highly advantageous
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to build within an established and growing platform
- Executive level communication and stakeholder management skills
