Full Job Description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Clinical Nurse Manager to oversee nursing operations within public health clinical setting. The ideal candidate will possess extensive clinical expertise, leadership capabilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care. The Clinical Nurse Manager is responsible for managing the health clinic to meet or exceed goals in productivity, revenue, patient visits, quality, and compliance, and patient satisfaction. This position involves managing both the clinical and administrative aspects of all clinical programs. The Clinical Nurse Manager ensures that the entire clinical operation is running as smoothly as possible while upholding the organization’s values as a leading nonprofit in the community. As pivotal member of the healthcare team, the Clinical Nurse Manager will coordinate nursing staff, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and promote a culture of continuous improvement. This role offers an opportunity to impact patient outcomes positively while fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.

Duties

Assist Executive Director in the oversight of all clinical services (Prenatal, Family Planning, Cancer Prevention, Sexually Transmitted Diseases, Tuberculosis and Immunizations) in collaboration with the medical advisor, medical officer and nursing staff.
Lead and supervise nursing staff across multiple departments, ensuring adherence to clinical protocols and best practices.
Oversee patient care delivery, including assessments, medical documentation, and treatment plans, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and other privacy regulations.
Monitor and evaluate operations, program budgets, processes and/or practices for quality, safety, efficiency and effectiveness
Manage and develop clinical staff including recruitment, on-boarding, training, performance evaluations and conflict resolution.
Evolve and develop program guidelines, policies and procedures for clinical services that reinforce quality standards that align with organization’s mission and values.
Manage staffing schedules, performance evaluations, and ongoing training to maintain high standards of nursing management and team development.
Implement quality assurance initiatives aligned with NCQA standards and federal and state grant requirements to enhance patient safety and care quality.
Utilize EMR and HIE and data systems for accurate documentation, data analysis, and reporting purposes.
Facilitate discharge planning, medication administration oversight, and utilization review processes to optimize resource utilization and patient outcomes.
Ensure infection control practices are rigorously followed and maintain sterile processing protocols in accordance with aseptic techniques.
Deliver education, health promotion and disease prevention presentations to community partners and to the general public.

Experience

Proven management experience in a clinical setting with supervision of nursing teams; prior nurse management roles preferred.
Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems and familiarity with ICD-9/ICD-10 coding and medical documentation standards.
Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, and medical terminology relevant to diverse patient populations.
Knowledge of infection control protocols, sterile processing procedures, pain management strategies.
Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required; additional certifications such as ACLS or PALS are preferred depending on specialty focus. Join us in leading compassionate nursing teams dedicated to delivering exemplary patient-centered care across diverse healthcare environments.

Knowledge of relevant governmental and clinical regulations and quality standards.
Strong emotional intelligence and ability to coach, mentor, relate and listen to team members.

Pay: $92,900.00 - $108,000.00 per year
