Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Admissions Coordinator to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for prospective patients, guiding them through the admissions process with professionalism and care. Your expertise in medical administrative support, patient management software, and health regulation policies will ensure a seamless experience for patients while maintaining strict confidentiality and compliance standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a compassionate healthcare environment where efficiency and empathy go hand in hand.

Responsibilities

Greet and assist patients, visitors, and healthcare providers with professionalism and warmth, ensuring a positive first impression
Manage patient intake processes, including scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and collecting necessary documentation
Utilize patient management software and electronic health records (EHR) systems to accurately input and update patient data
Coordinate with medical staff to facilitate smooth admissions, transfers, and discharges while adhering to health regulation policies
Answer phone calls promptly, providing clear information and directing inquiries appropriately
Maintain patient confidentiality at all times by following HIPAA guidelines and organizational policies
Support medical administrative tasks such as data entry, appointment reminders, and document management using Microsoft Office tools
Experience with new referral partners
Sources and develops sales strategies to build relationships and communicate the facility’s services and offerings.

Qualifications

Proven experience in a medical office or healthcare administrative setting, with familiarity in patient management software and EHR systems
Strong knowledge of health regulation policies, including HIPAA compliance and medical documentation standards
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly via phone and client interactions
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook for documentation and correspondence
Knowledge of medical terminology, health insurance processes, and electronic health records (EHR) management
Ability to maintain accuracy under pressure while managing multiple tasks efficiently
Prior office experience demonstrating organizational skills, attention to detail, and professionalism
