Full Job Description

Prep Cook / Line Cook:

Drop Anchor Seafood & Grill is looking for a reliable, hardworking Prep Cook / Line Cook to join our kitchen crew as we head into the busy summer season.

This position may include prep work, line cooking, cleaning, restocking, and helping wherever the kitchen needs support. We are looking for someone who takes pride in good food, works well with others, and understands that a strong kitchen succeeds as a team.

Experience is helpful, but the right attitude matters just as much. We are happy to train someone who is dependable, motivated, willing to learn, and ready to jump in.

Responsibilities

Set up and stock stations according to restaurant guidelines
Prepare food items in a clean, consistent, and timely manner
Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation standards
Complete daily prep tasks such as chopping, portioning, organizing, and restocking ingredients
Help maintain a smooth kitchen flow during busy shifts
Communicate clearly and work well with the kitchen team
Restock items throughout the shift
Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe
Assist with dishes, cleaning, trash, and general kitchen support when needed
Follow food safety and sanitation standards at all times

Qualifications

Prep cook, line cook, or back-of-house experience is great, but not required
Willingness to learn and take direction
Dependable, hardworking, and motivated
Able to stay calm and focused during busy service
Strong attention to detail
Positive attitude and team-first mindset
Willing to help wherever needed — prep, line, cleaning, dishes, or restocking
Able to anticipate what needs to be done and keep the kitchen moving
Takes pride in being part of a clean, organized, and respectful workplace
