Full Job Description

Title: Line Cook

Location: Pickled Fish

Department: Back of House

Reporting Relationship: General Manager -> Kitchen Manager -> BoH Shift Lead -> Line Cook

Job Summary

We are looking for an ambitious person to be our Line Cook! This person would help with the preparation of delicious dishes in the kitchen. You’ll perform routine kitchen tasks such as setting up workstations and ingredients, so that food can be prepared according to recipes. A great line cook will be quick and diligent and willing to improve on the job. You will be deft and able to follow instructions as well as all health and safety rules in the kitchen. The ideal candidate will also be able to function in a fast-paced, busy environment as a part of a team.This is a great experience for someone who wants to learn or someone who already has experience in the kitchen. Duties + Responsibilities

Measure ingredients and seasonings to be used in cooking
Prepare cooking ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and other tasks needed to prepare the Line for Service
Follow recipes to execute food preparation from various stations on the Line: Salad, Fryer, Grill, Sautee, Pizza Oven, and Dessert
Ensure all Food Safety practices are followed, as defined by the Pacific County Health Department
Perform other kitchen duties as assigned by Kitchen Manager, including regular cleaning of Kitchen Equipment, Coolers, and work spaces
Be a team player with good communication skills
Be patient with an ability to stay positive under pressure

Qualifications

Obtain/Possess Washington State Food Handler’s Card
Cooking: 1 year (Preferred)
Restaurant Experience: 1 year (Preferred)

Average time spent in operations

95%

Average time spent on admin duties
