Full Job Description

Welcome to Under the Oaks Pet Resort. We are hiring for 2 positions, one full time; one part time. You will be responsible for the daily care, feeding, cleaning, exercise, and supervision of dogs & cats. This is a physically active outdoor position requiring comfort working in all weather conditions.

If you want to

* Work in a tranquil, beautiful outdoor setting with with dogs & cats

* Enjoy taking care of animals. This includes feeding, cleaning, walking & playing with dogs and cats.

* Learn new skills from resort owners. We can help expand your knowledge of training & bathing pets with in-person training as well as online classes and certifications.

Duties include:

*Feed and provide fresh water to dogs & cats according to schedules and special instructions. Clean; sanitize kennels, runs, cat areas, yards, food bowls, and common areas.

*Walk, exercise, and supervise dogs in outdoor runs and play areas.

*Safely handle dogs & cats of different sizes, breeds, ages, and temperaments.

* Monitor animals for changes in appetite, behavior, energy level, stool, or signs of illnessor injury. Report health, behavioral, or safety concerns to the owner.

*Maintain clean, safe, secure kennels and outdoor grounds.

* Wash bedding, towels, blankets, bowls, and other animal-care items.

*Pick up animal waste throughout the day and dispose of it properly. Help maintain fencing, gates, water stations, shade areas, landscape, and outdoor equipment.

*Bathe dogs when requested

*Work weekends, holidays, mornings, or evenings, shifts as required.

*Greet customers, book reservations, call clients and check-in / check-out guests

Physical Requirements - Able to

*Stand and walk for extended periods.

*Bend, stoop, kneel, lift, and carry supplies.

*Safely handle active dogs and cats.

*Lift approximately 40–50 pounds when required.

*Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions

Qualifications:

*Previous kennel, animal shelter, veterinary, boarding, farm, ranch, or pet-care experience preferred.

*Experience with dogs and cats strongly preferred.

*Must be dependable, punctual, patient, observant, and comfortable around animals.

*Must follow all safety procedures and instructions.

*Experience with bathing is a plus but not a requirement

Pay: $17.50 - $21.50 per hour
