Presbyterian Homes of Georgia is currently seeking experienced individuals to serve as Line Cooks in the Dining Services Department on Presbyterian Village, Athens campus.

To meet the needs and changing lifestyles of seniors and their families in the Athens, GA community, Presbyterian Homes of Georgia is pleased to present Presbyterian Village, Athens, a new, state-of-the-art continuing care retirement community. As a Life Plan Community located on 80+ acres, Presbyterian Village, Athens campus is convenient to area cultural venues, churches, movie theaters, restaurants, hotels, and public transportation.

We are currently recruiting for the following Full-Time positions to join our Dining Services Department:

Line Cooks - Cooks will be responsible for the preparation and service of meals for residents of Independent Living, long- term care and assisted living areas under the direction of the Chef which includes collecting supplies/ingredients, preparing food items according to menus, cooking food items in appropriate equipment and appropriate temperatures, storing prepared items in an appropriate manner and following all sanitation standards.

We are the proud sponsor of two established Life Plan Communities: Presbyterian Village in Austell and Presbyterian Home and Retirement Community in Quitman. Presbyterian Village Athens is our third Life Plan Community and, like its predecessors, offers a full spectrum of health care that includes Independent Living Residences, Assisted Living, Memory Support, Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Services.

Three additional communities, Calvin Court in Atlanta’s Buckhead neighborhood, Philips Tower in Decatur and Swainsboro Presbyterian Apartments in Swainsboro offer comfortable, affordable apartment living for active seniors.

The ideal applicants should have the following minimum qualifications:

A Caring Heart and a Passion for serving Senior Adults.
A strong focus on Customer Service.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Previous experience working as a Cook in Dining Services venues such as restaurants, hotels, Healthcare facilities (LTC, hospital), catering venues or similar.
