Assignment Snapshot
- Location: Jobs available nationwide and updated daily
- Start Dates: As soon as next week or up to eight weeks out
- Contract Length: 8 to 26 weeks, with frequent extensions available
What We’re Looking For
- Passed NBRC Exam (RRT credential)
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program
- Previous travel experience is a plus
Typical Duties Include
- Evaluate patients' respiratory status and develop individualized treatment plans in accordance with physician orders and department protocols
- Administer respiratory therapy treatments, including oxygen therapy, aerosolized medications, and airway clearance techniques
- Manage and monitor mechanical ventilators, adjusting settings as needed based on patient response and physician orders
- Perform arterial blood gas sampling and analysis, and interpret pulmonary function test results
- Assist with intubation, extubation, and airway management procedures
- Educate patients and caregivers on proper use of respiratory equipment, medication administration, and disease management techniques
- Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans accordingly, and document outcomes to support discharge planning
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary care teams to deliver high-quality patient care
- Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to AARC standards, state licensure requirements, and facility compliance protocols
