Beaver Dam Farms is seeking a compassionate, hardworking, and dependable Farm Hand / Livestock Care Team Member to join our team on the historic 1,000-acre former estate of country music legend Kenny Rogers.

Position Summary
The Farm Hand / Livestock Care Team Member is responsible for the daily care of our animals and helping maintain a clean, safe, and healthy environment throughout the farm. This role requires someone who is dependable, observant, physically capable, and genuinely passionate about animal welfare.
Our Farm Includes
You'll help care for a wide variety of animals, including:
- Berkshire pigs
- Horses
- Clydesdales
- Donkeys
- Meat chickens
- Laying chickens
- Turkeys
- Ducks
In addition to our livestock, Beaver Dam Farms features a thriving all-organic garden, which supports our commitment to quality and sustainability.
ResponsibilitiesAnimal Care
- Feed and water all livestock according to established schedules
- Ensure animals always have access to clean water, quality feed, and hay
- Monitor the health, behavior, and overall well-being of each animal
- Observe for signs of illness, injury, or distress and report concerns immediately
- Handle livestock calmly, safely, and with respect
- Clean stalls, barns, pens, coops, and feeding areas daily
- Maintain fresh bedding and clean living environments
- Bathing the horses
- Help ensure every animal receives exceptional daily care and attention
Farm Support
- Unload and organize feed, hay, bedding, and farm supplies
- Assist with seasonal farm projects and improvements
- Help maintain clean, organized barns, feed rooms, and work areas
- Support the team wherever needed to keep daily farm operations running smoothly
Qualifications
- Previous farm or livestock experience preferred but not required
- Comfortable working around both large and small animals
- Strong work ethic and dependable attendance
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Valid driver's license preferred
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to work weekends and holidays as needed
