Position Overview
Provide strategic leadership, clinical oversight, and regulatory direction for all Health & Wellness services at Georgia Options. The Health & Wellness Director ensures nursing services, healthcare systems, policies, procedures, and clinical practices support exceptional person-centered Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) while maintaining compliance with all applicable federal, state, Medicaid waiver, and professional nursing standards. This position provides leadership and supervision to all nursing personnel, oversees the development of organizational healthcare systems and clinical policies, and drives continuous quality improvement across the organization.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Leadership and Clinical Oversight
- Provide direct supervision, leadership, and performance management for the RN Manager and all nursing personnel.
- Recruit, develop, coach, and evaluate nursing staff.
- Ensure adequate nursing coverage.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and person-centered practices.
- Serve as the senior clinical advisor for Health & Wellness to the Executive Director and Leadership Team.
Clinical Program Development
- Develop, implement, and maintain all Health & Wellness policies, procedures, protocols, and clinical standards.
- Ensure nursing practices remain consistent with current evidence-based healthcare standards.
- Improve healthcare systems and workflows.
- Standardize clinical documentation and healthcare processes.
- Develop departmental goals and strategic initiatives.
Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with Georgia Board of Nursing, DBHDD, Medicaid NOW/COMP, Private Home Care, CQL, Georgia Collaborative ASO, and HIPAA.
- Monitor regulatory changes and oversee audits and corrective actions.
Quality Assurance and Risk Management
- Develop quality assurance systems.
- Analyze clinical trends and risks.
- Lead quality improvement initiatives.
- Participate in Risk Management, Human Rights, and Quality Assurance committees.
Clinical Consultation
- Serve as the organization's highest clinical authority.
- Advise leadership and collaborate with providers and regulatory agencies.
Organizational Collaboration
- Collaborate with Executive Leadership and other departments.
- Participate in strategic planning and organizational growth.
Staff Development
- Develop nursing education and competency programs.
- Mentor future nursing leaders.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Extensive knowledge of nursing practice, healthcare regulations, leadership, policy development, project management, healthcare analytics, EMR systems, and person-centered practices.
CREDENTIALS AND EXPERIENCE
Current unrestricted Georgia RN license; BSN required (Master's preferred); minimum five years progressive nursing leadership; minimum three years supervising nursing personnel; I/DD and Medicaid Waiver experience strongly preferred.

Pay: $85,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
