Full Job Description

Summary:

A growing and established organization is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead day-to-day accounting operations and support the financial strength of the business. This is a hands-on leadership role with opportunity for professional growth and increased responsibility as the company continues to evolve.

The ideal candidate will bring strong accounting expertise, exceptional analytical skills, and a collaborative leadership style. This position works closely with senior leadership while overseeing a small accounting team and helping drive process improvements across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management, and general ledger activities.
Supervise, coach, and develop a team of accounting professionals.
Prepare and assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
Review month-end profit and loss statements and balance sheet reconciliations.
Maintain accounting controls and ensure compliance with GAAP standards.
Analyze financial results, budgets, and variances to support business planning and decision-making.
Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
Maintain fixed asset accounting and chart of accounts integrity.
Manage banking activities, transfers, and payee information.
Partner with internal departments, customers, vendors, and external stakeholders to resolve inquiries and support business objectives.
Assist with special projects and additional accounting initiatives as needed.

This is a direct-hire, full-time and salaried role with the business. The schedule will be in-person, standard business hours. Pay is competitive, starting out at $75K per year, commensurate with experience. This company offers a full benefits package.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
3–5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including accounting management responsibilities.
Minimum of 2 years of supervisory or team leadership experience.
Strong understanding of GAAP accounting principles and financial controls.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, and financial analysis functions.
Experience with accounting systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365, QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar ERP platforms.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
Experience with financial reporting and budgeting preferred.
Familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, or other data analytics tools is a plus.
CPA or CMA designation preferred but not required.
