Join Our Team at Athens Music Academy!
We’re looking for a passionate and reliable drum or violin teacher to join our fun, family-friendly music school! Most of our students are beginners (especially kids), but we welcome all ages. This is a flexible, part-time position starting around 4pm—perfect for musicians with a few open afternoons. If you have 4+ years of piano experience, can read sheet music, and love sharing music with others, we’d love to meet you!

Athens Music Academy has been a cornerstone of music education in East Texas since 2011, helping hundreds of students embark on their musical journeys. As the largest music school in the region, we pride ourselves on offering private lessons for all popular instruments and voice, ensuring that our students receive the best possible instruction from experienced teachers.

Summary

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Instructor to join our team at Guitars Etc. This role involves teaching private music lessons to students of all ages and skill levels, fostering their love for music while providing high-quality instruction. Your contributions will be vital in helping our students achieve their musical goals.

Responsibilities

Provide engaging and effective private music lessons for our students
Assess student progress and adapt teaching methods to meet individual needs.
Create a positive and encouraging learning environment for all students.
Communicate effectively with students and parents regarding progress and goals.
Collaborate with other instructors to share best practices and improve curriculum.

Requirements

Strong communication skills to connect with students of all ages.
Ability to create tailored lesson plans that cater to individual student needs.
Experience working with diverse learners is a plus.
A passion for music and a commitment to fostering student growth.
Reading Sheet music
Play piano for at least 4 years.
