Full Job Description

Job Overview
We are seeking a EEC Director Certified Assistant Director to join our team and help lead the daily operations of our childcare center. This is a vital leadership position that blends administrative, educational, and operational responsibilities. You will work directly with the Center Director to foster a positive, enriching, and safe environment for our children, families, and staff. The ideal candidate is a proactive and organized professional with a passion for early childhood education and a talent for team leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Staff Support

Partner with the Center Director to manage all daily center operations, including staff scheduling, supervision, and administrative tasks.
Foster a positive and collaborative work environment through active mentoring, coaching, and conflict resolution.
Serve as the acting director in the absence of the Center Director, overseeing all program activities and staff.
Provide classroom coverage as needed to ensure a smooth and consistent learning environment.
Collaborate on organizing and implementing engaging school events, field trips, and special visits.

Curriculum & Program Development

Conduct classroom observations and assist in the implementation of a high-quality, age-appropriate curriculum that aligns with state standards.
Ensure classrooms are equipped with stimulating and developmentally appropriate materials.
Contribute to the ongoing evaluation and improvement of our center's curriculum.

Operations & Compliance

Ensure full compliance with all state and local childcare regulations, including EEC standards.
Maintain a safe, healthy, and organized environment for all children and staff.
Oversee all required administrative documentation for children, staff, and licensing to ensure timeliness and accuracy.

Family & Financial Management

Build and maintain strong relationships with parents and guardians, serving as a primary point of contact for concerns and support.
Mediate and resolve conflicts between parents and teachers to ensure effective communication.
Manage all aspects of tuition billing, including processing payments, managing outstanding balances, and overseeing state-sponsored voucher programs.
Collaborate with the Center Director on budget management and strategies to maintain and increase enrollment.

Administrative Support

Complete all necessary documentation in a timely and accurate manner.
Assist with managing enrollment projections, waitlists, and space availability.
Oversee and regularly update the center's website and social media presence to engage with our community.
Collaborate on the planning and organization of monthly staff meetings.

Qualifications

Must meet all requirements for the EEC Director.
Minimum of an Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field (or currently enrolled in a degree program). A Bachelor's degree is preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience working in a childcare setting, with demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience.
Strong leadership, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
In-depth knowledge of child development best practices and state childcare regulations.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Word.
CPR and First Aid certified (or willingness to obtain certification upon hire).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
