Empire Auto Parts is a leading, fast growing provider of aftermarket collision automobile parts to primarily independent body shops, multi-shop operators, and dealer-operated body shops across more than 25 states throughout the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic and Southeast regions. Founded in 1985 and headquartered in Totowa, NJ, the company has over 50 locations and employs over 900 team members.

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Last Mile Delivery Manager to join our dynamic team in the aftermarket auto parts industry. The Last Mile Delivery Manager will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the delivery operations, specializing in last mile delivery. The primary responsibility will be to optimize and oversee the final stage of the supply chain, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of products to end customers. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, in-depth knowledge of logistics management practices, and a passion for driving continuous improvement.

Duties/Responsibilities

Last Mile Strategy:
Develop and implement last mile delivery strategies to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall customer satisfaction.
Analyze market trends and technological advancements to stay ahead in last mile logistics.
Network Optimization:
Collaborate with transportation providers, carriers, and third-party logistics partners to establish and maintain a reliable last mile delivery network.
Optimize route planning, considering factors such as traffic, delivery windows, and fuel efficiency.
Technology Integration:
Leverage logistics technology, such as route optimization software and tracking systems, to enhance real-time visibility and control over the last mile operations.
Performance Monitoring:
Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and evaluate last mile delivery performance.
Regularly analyze data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
Collaboration with Stakeholders:
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including procurement, warehouse, and customer service, to ensure seamless coordination between different stages of the supply chain.
Build strong relationships with suppliers, carriers, and vendors to optimize collaboration and address any challenges.
Quality Assurance:
Implement quality control measures to ensure accurate and damage-free deliveries.
Address and resolve any customer complaints or issues related to the last mile delivery process.
Regulatory Compliance:
Stay updated on relevant regulations and compliance standards related to transportation and last mile delivery.
Ensure all operations adhere to legal requirements and industry standards.
Cost Management:
Develop and manage budgets for last mile delivery operations.
Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining service quality.

Required Skills/Abilities

Bachelor's degree in business administration, logistics, supply chain management, or a related field. Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Proven experience as a Logistics Manager or in a similar role within the aftermarket auto parts industry preferable.
Strong knowledge of logistics management principles, practices, and regulations.
Proficiency in telematics systems, analytics tools, and logistics management software.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various stakeholders.
Ability to lead and motivate a team, providing guidance and support.
Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair procedures is highly desirable.
