We are an established, 15-person Atlanta-based Managed Service Provider seeking a Director of Operations to join our leadership team and own the company’s day-to-day operations.
This senior leadership position is for someone who is organized, process-oriented, accountable, technically knowledgeable, and passionate about exceptional client service.
The Director of Operations will oversee service and technical operations, lead key team members, serve as a strategic technology advisor to clients, and ensure the company operates efficiently and consistently.
What You’ll Own
Company Operations & Leadership
- Own the day-to-day operations of the company and translate leadership priorities into execution.
- Lead our operational and technical teams, including our Helpdesk Supervisor and Senior Technical Lead.
- Establish clear responsibilities, expectations, priorities, and measurable goals.
- Coach and develop employees while creating a strong culture of accountability.
- Participate in recruiting, hiring, performance management, and employee development.
- Work with ownership on staffing, capacity planning, budgeting, organizational planning, and company priorities.
- Ensure initiatives move from discussion to completion.
Systems, Processes & EOS
We believe great companies operate through well-designed systems, clear accountability, and measurable results.
The Director of Operations will develop and continually improve company processes and SOPs, establish clear ownership, and ensure processes are consistently followed.
We utilize the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS), including Level 10 meetings, Rocks, scorecards, and quarterly planning. This role will play an important part in championing EOS and creating a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Previous EOS experience is highly desirable, but a commitment to embracing the system is essential.
Client Experience & Strategy

The Director of Operations will build relationships with client leadership, participate in strategic technology and business reviews, and serve as a trusted technology advisor to key clients.
You will help clients understand their technology needs, risks, and opportunities, develop technology roadmaps, and assist with planning and budgeting for future IT needs.
You will also identify, recommend, and help sell technology projects and services that provide meaningful value to our clients, working with the team to properly scope solutions.
Our approach is consultative. We seek to understand each client’s business, recommend what they genuinely need, and build relationships that last for years.
AI & Emerging Technology
We believe part of being a great technology partner is helping clients understand and take advantage of new technology.
The Director of Operations should be technically curious and genuinely interested in AI and emerging technologies.
You will stay current on AI, automation, cloud, cybersecurity, and other developments that may create value for our clients.
You will help clients identify and evaluate AI opportunities, develop strategies and roadmaps, and lead AI implementation projects with internal and external technical resources.
We want a technology leader who is enthusiastic about what is possible and can translate new technology into practical business results.
Technical Qualifications
The Director of Operations must have a strong working knowledge of business IT and be capable of effectively leading an MSP environment.
Candidates should understand:
- Microsoft 365 administration and cloud services
- Windows workstations and servers
- Networking, including switching, routing, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless
- Endpoint management and troubleshooting
- Cybersecurity fundamentals and common business security controls
- Backup and disaster recovery
- Identity, permissions, and access management
- General IT troubleshooting and escalation
- MSP tools and concepts, including PSA, RMM, documentation, ticketing, SLAs, and remote support
CompTIA A+, Network+, and Security+ certifications are preferred and represent the breadth of technical knowledge we expect. Equivalent certifications, education, and experience will also be considered.

- Proven leadership and people-management experience is required.
- MSP experience is highly preferred.
- Strong technical knowledge of business IT and the ability to lead technical professionals.
- Exceptional organization, process orientation, and attention to detail.
- Experience developing employees and holding people accountable.
- Strong understanding of KPIs, scorecards, and performance management.
- Strong client-facing communication and relationship-management skills.
- Ability to discuss technology effectively with technical professionals, business owners, and executives.
- Consultative sales ability and comfort recommending and presenting technology projects.
- Genuine interest in AI, automation, and emerging technologies.
- Technical curiosity and a habit of staying current on technologies that may create client value.
- Strong decision-making skills, personal ownership, and consistent follow-through.
- Experience with EOS is highly desirable.
Understanding what an MSP does and how an MSP works is required. Experience with Autotask, Datto RMM, IT Glue, or similar MSP platforms is preferred but not required.

Compensation
$120,000 to $140,000 in salary and performance-based bonuses, depending on experience.
This is a four-day in-office, one-day remote position based in Marietta, GA.
