Position Summary:

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Verify loan approval conditions and ensure all required documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with company policies and regulatory standards.
Review loan files for completeness, including financial statements, collateral documentation, and credit approvals
Collaborate with loan officers, underwriters, and legal counsel to address outstanding items or discrepancies in loan files.
Communicate directly with borrowers and third-party vendors (e.g., title companies, appraisers, environmental companies, construction monitoring companies, insurance providers, etc) to obtain necessary documents and reports and resolve pre-closing issues.
Ensure all loan files adhere to federal, state, and internal compliance regulations.
Conduct quality control checks on loan documentation to minimize errors and ensure accuracy before final submission for closing.
Maintain accurate records in the loan management system and update the status of loan files throughout the pre-closing process.
Generate pre-closing reports and provide updates to the Chief Credit Officer, Special Assets Officer, Loan Administration, Director of Sales and Business Development and Lenders as needed.
Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the pre-closing process.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices related to commercial lending.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, or a related field preferred.
Minimum of 2–4 years of experience in commercial loan processing, pre-closing, or a related role.
Strong knowledge of commercial lending products, documentation, and compliance requirements.
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
Proficiency in loan management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve discrepancies independently.
Notary Public certification is a plus.
Relevant training or certification in loan processing or compliance is preferred.
